Baked ziti with sausage is a simple pasta casserole topped with sausage ragout, ricotta, mozzarella and parmesan. It has all the familiar tastes of traditional Sunday lasagna however comes together rapidly and it is simple to work as baked pasta. This is so simple and scrumptious, and it tastes even much better the next day and reheats well, so you’ll be thrilled for leftovers. This dish, like all standard dishes, exists in various variations. Some individuals utilize simply tomato sauce or marinara, others make ragù with ground meat, or a mix of meat and sausage, some include whipping cream or bechamel. Today we will prepare what we believe are the very best baked ziti, a mix that is our secret! The secret to its success is preparing the pasta “al dente” throughout the preliminary boil so that it stays best after cooking in the oven.

Leading with a layer of 1/2 grated mozzarella, 1/2 ricotta and 1/2 grated parmesan.

Include staying pasta, sausage ragout and garnish with staying cheeses.

Prepare at 350 ° F for 25 minutes, then switch on grill and cook 2-3 minutes to brown the cheese.

Enable to cool 5 minutes before serving then garnish with basil, if wanted, and serve.

PASTA: For this dish the traditional pasta option is ziti, a tube-shaped pasta however you can likewise replace with any brief tube-shaped pasta such as penne or rigatoni.

SAUSAGE: You can change with minced meat or a mix of meat and sausage. To make vegetarian baked ziti, leave the meat out and include more cheese. Any of these alternatives will work excellent.

VEGGIES: Including veggies is a terrific method to turn this pasta casserole into a one-dish meal. The most ideal veggies for preparing baked ziti are: fried diced courgettes, mushrooms or cauliflower.
