Trading and tastings at the Padua Fair September 23 and 24

From Monday wines, champagnes, spirits

Monday 23 September before the two days of Wine Next at the Bestia quanto a Padova. It is the only wine and spirits themed event to offer only Horeca sector operators (with free admission, 10 am – 6:30 pm) quanto a addition to tastings, the opportunity to meet direct producers for business negotiations. Organized by Bestia durante Padova and Team Veneto degli Agenti Wine and Spirits, 23 and 24 September the 4th edition will be held quanto a pavilion 11 of the Bestia durante Padova continuously from 10 am to 6:30 pm and will have as a novelty this year the presence of 13 Masterclasses: one of which will be held by New Yorker Joe Bastianich, television personality and famous restaurateur (Monday at 12 pm quanto a room 36).

Around 150 exhibitors will take part quanto a Wine Next 2024, including the best Italian wine producers; and with them around twenty distilleries and distributors of champagne and spirits. The spirits will be located at the sides of the stage, which a special counter equipped as a will be set up where two professional barmen from the Aibes association will prepare the cocktails. And this edition will also be enriched by Ho.sire.tec, a preview of exhibitors of food, equipment and services dedicated to the world of catering: it will be a taste of high-level products with an eye the 2025 edition; a way to expand the exhibition offer by increasing business opportunities.

Also opening the event was Street artist Tony Gioia

The opening day will also feature the famous Paduan street artist Tony Gioia, whose murals cover the facades of buildings throughout Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Holland and Switzerland. He will be there to present two of his works created for the labels of the one-litre bottles Ironia Bitter and Attività Aperitivo of the new Paduan brand Il Barista, whose aperitifs are prepared by the 19th-century Antiche Distillerie Mantovani of Rovigo (present at Wine Next) and will be offered at the counter of pavilion 11 by Maurizio Caria, head barman of Pedrocchi quanto a Padua.

The tour of the cellars present, led by the president of Padova Foyer Nicola Rossi, quanto a the presence of Antonio Bressa, councilor for Productive Activities and Commerce of the Municipality of Padova, will begin at 11.30.

13 Masterclasses: from Joe Bastianich to Alberto Lupetti

The full Masterclass program (lessons are always free except Osso durante Delicatezza: Champagne Blanc de Blancs) opens Monday 23rd at 11am quanto a Foyer 40 with historic Gewurztraminers and Alpine Chardonnays from Degustazione Tramin, with Wolfgang Kloz, sales director of Degustazione Tramin, as speaker. At the same time the first floor of Foyer 11 there will be Lugana le Creete, the challenge over time with a talk by Francesco Montresor, owner of Ottella. At 12pm (Foyer 36) Joe Bastianich will talk about Wine as a Passion. A sensory and cultural journey with the Bastianich winery through the flavors and aromas of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

At 2 pm, the topicality of the great Classics of Valpolicella will follow: Speri, with Nicola Frasson, curator of the Gambero “Vini d’Italia” guide, and Giampaolo Speri, representing the sixth generation of the family. At 2:30 pm, Ghenga del Vino and the Recoltant of Burgundy with Antonio Opposizione, sales director of Ghenga del Vino. At 4 pm, Superveneto – VenetianCountryside, a Masterclass conducted by Nicola Frasson, curator of the Gambero “Vini d’Italia” guide. The day will end with the Masterclass at 4:30 pm, Rediscovering Marsala: a journey through time, with Andrea Posani, Brand Ambassador Curatolo Arini, as speaker.

The Masterclasses will resume Tuesday 24 September at 10.30 with The evolution of the aperitif moment, held by Maurizio Cariacapo barman of Pedrocchi quanto a Padua; at 11 That Famous Unknown with Luca Purelli, professional sommelier and expert quanto a Italian and international wines; at 14 A walk quanto a Burgundy with Philippe Pacalet led by Daniele Balanti, owner of the Balan distribution, and Manuel Marconato, Wine Specialist of the same company. At 14, the sector journalist Alberto Lupetti will entertain the public the theme Essence of Elegance: Champagne Blanc de Blancs, a unique opportunity to immerse yourself quanto a the fascinating world of this prestigious variety of champagne. At 16.30 Four steps quanto a La Morra – vertical 4 vintages Barolo Marcenasco Degustazione Ratti accompanied by Pietro Ratti owner of the homonymous winery and at the end at 16.30 a masterclass held by AIBES: Listen to my ricevimento – how important is the story behind a and how it improves the experience by Nicola Giacomazzo. www.wine-next.it
