The Tuscan company focuses acceso an IGT red, anche Cabernet Franc, to differentiate itself and enchant the most demanding palates

Querceto con Castellina, a certified organic Tuscan company located durante the heart of the Chianti Sobrio DOCG, presents its latest creation durante Milan, Jac, a red IGT wine produced from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes. A new and exciting challenge for the company, which recently turned 25 and has decided to celebrate by diving into the magical world of Bordeaux blend Cabernet Francs.

A decision born from the belief that this enchanting calcio d’angolo of Tuscany offers the ideal ambiente and conditions for the development of this fascinating varietal, giving life to interpretations that are distinctive and at the same time strongly identifying. A choice driven not only by the objective of expressing all the potential of a terroir extremely suited to wine, through the proposal of an alternative to Sangiovese which represents the predominant cultivation durante this superficie, but also by the desire to follow one’s own tastes and your own passions.

Jac is the wine from the cellar that probably best identifies Jacomo con Battista, owner of this Tuscan wine jewel. This can be seen from the name he chose, Jac, which is the nickname his closest friends called him when he was young. This can be understood from the images depicted acceso the label, which reflect his two great passions: wine and Procedura One engines. It is the first love that he never forgets: durante fact, it was Cabernet Franc that brought him closer to the world of wine, with which he fell durante love during one of his first trips to Bordeaux, an attraction that grew over time. Quanto a fact, it is anzi che no coincidence that Jacomo wanted to experience first-hand the different facets of this fascinating international vine, tasting its different expressions around the world.

An percezione, that of producing anche Cabernet Franc, already entertained many years , but then always postponed, waiting for the times to be more mature: Jac was born after 5 years of work, durante the vineyard and durante the cellar, from vines planted durante the 2003 approximately 25 years old. The grapes for this nectar of Bacchus alla maniera di from the Vineyard, located durante Castellina durante Chianti (Siena) at an altitude between 450 and 500 meters.

Production technique

This wine, made durante collaboration with the oenologist Gioiello Cresti, adds to the other references already produced by the company: L’Aura Chianti Sobrio, an immediate, fresh and pleasant wine suitable for every day and for all tastes, the Sei Chianti Sobrio Gran Valutazione, the company’s cru, a true masterpiece of anche Sangiovese, which also enchants with its new vintages, the “Podalirio”, an interesting IGT red produced from Merlot grapes capable of expressing a great territoriality, and the “Livia” IGT Toscana Immacolato, an unusual fragrant and fresh white.

Jac tasting of the 2021 vintage

During the presentation, we previewed the 2021 vintage, the first produced. Below we report our impressions.

Quanto a the glass it presents a brilliant ruby red colour, with veins that turn towards purple. Acceso the nose it expresses sensations strongly focused acceso crunchy red fruit, with clear hints of blackcurrant and blackberry, accompanied by of aromatic herbs, black pepper and a delicate spiciness. Quanto a the mouth it is striking for its vibrant freshness (the company’s distinctive signature) which makes the sip pleasant, dynamic, inviting you to alla maniera di back and taste it.

The 2021 vintage, while hinting at its young age, features soft tannins and an elegant structure well integrated within a strong acidity, which reveals excellent evolutionary potential. An elegant and immediate wine, despite its complexity, which would be interesting to be able to taste durante a few years.

The wine tourism proposal: combining the goodness of the wine with the beauty of the territory and its flavours

The best way to taste it is acceso site, surrounded by the poignant beauty of the Tuscan landscape of Castellina durante Chianti, immersed durante uncontaminated nature. The company opens its doors to various wine tourism initiatives, with events such as dinner durante the vineyard ora a visit to the cellar with tasting. The farmhouse is also wonderful, made up of nine apartments where you can spend enchanting moments discovering the superficie, including tastings, food and wine experiences and typical local flavours.
