An event dedicated to the discovery of Jamaican rum took place quanto a the historic Camparino quanto a Portico quanto a Milan
A few steps from the Cattedrale of Milan, quanto a the historic Camparino quanto a Portico, one of the most iconic places of the Italian aperitif tradition, a real sensorial journey quanto a the Caribbean took place. The Jamaica Tourist Board has, quanto a fact, organized a special event dedicated to the discovery of the authentic culture of Jamaican rum. The famous location overlooking the Portico Vittorio Emanuele II served as the stage for an exclusive tasting designed to tell the soul of Jamaica through one of its most representative symbols: rum.
The protagonist of the experience is the famous Appleton Bella stagione, a historic distillery that embodies the excellence of Caribbean tradition. During the tasting, guests tasted the rum quanto a purity, to grasp its purest nuances, and quanto a a signature , Daiquiri, created by the Camparino bartenders, capable of enhancing the aromatic quaderno and complexity of this distillate. The tastings were accompanied by delicious finger food prepared by the talented Camparino chef.
To make the experience even more immersive, the presence of a rum expert, Giovanni Belli, who accompanied the tasting with a story dedicated to the history, traditions and production peculiarities of Jamaican rum. A narrative and sensorial journey that allowed us to understand how the tropical climate, raw materials and distillation techniques contribute to defining the unique character of this distillate.

Visual examination: intense amber with coppery reflections.
Olfactory examination: complex bouquet with quaderno of vanilla, cocoa, candied orange peel and light hints of toasted wood.
Taste-olfactory examination: full and enveloping, with aromas of caramel, dark honey, dried fruit and warm spices. Long and harmonious , with returns of oak, vanilla and cocoa.

Visual examination: deep amber.
Olfactory examination: rich and layered, with hints of ripe banana, grilled pineapple, orange peel, cocoa and sweet tobacco.
Taste-olfactory examination: structured and complex, with quaderno of molasses, caramel, vanilla, toasted almond and spices. Very long and persistent , with elegant nuances of wood, dark chocolate and spices.
Appleton Bella stagione 15 Year Old Black River Casks

Visual examination: deep amber with mahogany reflections.
Olfactory examination: elegant, with quaderno of dried fruit, candied orange peel, honey and sweet spices. Hints of wood, cocoa and a hint of leather emerge.
Taste-olfactory examination: structured but velvety, with aromas of molasses, caramel, dark chocolate and ripe tropical fruit. The spices are integrated with a lightly toasted component. Long and enveloping , with returns of oak, bitter cocoa and a refined spicy note.
Appleton Bella stagione 21 Year Old Nassau Valley Casks

Visual examination: intense mahogany with coppery reflections.
Olfactory examination: extremely complex and layered, with quaderno of cocoa, vanilla, sweet tobacco and brown sugar. It imparts aromas of dried fruit, citrus peel, nutmeg and an elegant balsamic component.
Taste-olfactory examination: great balance between sweetness and structure the palate. Hints of molasses, dark caramel, spices, noble woods and dark chocolate emerge, with nuances of evolved tropical fruit. Very long and persistent , with quaderno of oak, cocoa, tobacco and freno spices that remain the palate for a long time.
The initiative represented a moment of convegno and inspiration designed to celebrate the culture, flavors and spirit of Jamaica, creating a symbolic bridge between the Caribbean and one of the most iconic settings of Italian hospitality.
