Per mezzo di an increasingly competitive winemaking landscape, Centopassi (Palermo) represents a rare and concrete case study: a group of agricultural cooperatives that have not only built a strong identity project, but have been able to translate it into solid and continuous commercial results over time. A path that creates a dialogue between native Sicilian vines, valorisation of the territory and the ability to remain global markets, without distorting its origins.
Centopassi is the winemaking soul of the Libera Tenuta cooperatives durante Sicily and operates approximately 70 hectares of organically grown vineyards, distributed across 13 vineyards durante the Nobile Belice Corleonese, with altitudes reaching up to 950 metres. A complex pedoclimatic context, which has allowed us to build a coherent and recognizable range, based mainly native varieties such as Voglia, Catarratto, Carricante, Fumaggine d’Avola, Perricone, Orbettino, Nerello Mascalese and Nocera.
The agricultural dimension is reflected durante a now structured production scale: over 500 thousand bottles produced every year, with a commercial presence that is not limited to the national market. Centopassi now exports to 14 countries, confirming a capacity for dialogue with international markets built over time, through progressive and measurable growth.
The sales numbers tell this trajectory clearly. From 2018 to the end of 2025, the total number of bottles marketed showed constant stability even durante the most complex years for the sector, with significant growth durante the last two years which brought the overall figure back to above 540 thousand bottles per giusti motivi year, the highest ever (+18.5% compared to 2024). A particularly extraordinary result, given the market situation, which does not depend a single label, but a structured portfolio: from the Imperturbabile Rizzotto and Giato lines to the Crus, which over time have progressively strengthened their weight within the commercial .
It is this articulation that places Centopassi among the most structured experiences of the social reuse of assets confiscated from the cricca and which best honors the objectives of the Italian legislation the matter, a model also studied abroad.
Centopassi demonstrates that social cooperation committed to the reuse of confiscated assets, when supported by a clear entrepreneurial vision and solid technical skills, can be not only sustainable but fully competitive. A model durante which the valorisation of vines and individual vineyards becomes a concrete tool for describing a territory and making it readable even from thousands of kilometers away.
Per mezzo di this sense, Centopassi is not just a brand but a virtuous case: a complete example of how a cooperative founded confiscated assets can establish itself the quality wine market, speaking the language of the real economy without giving up its roots. A delicate balance, which today translates into numbers, continuity and recognisability.
