The DiVino Festival in Castelbuono (PA) is back, from 28 to 30 June, with 200 wineries, the Gusto DiVino award and my masterclasses – Wine Blog Roll

Castelbuono (PA), 18 June 2024– From 28 to 30 June 2024, the middle ages town of Castelbuono, situated in the heart of the Madonie mountains, is preparing to host the 18th edition of the DIVINO CELEBRATION, an unmissable occasion for fans of great food and some red wine.

The occasion will provide an abundant program of directed tastings, conferences with leading figures from the food and red wine world, awards events, masterclasses and minutes of home entertainment. Amongst the 2024 winners are the star and speaker Beppe Convertini, Antonio Mazzola (Masterchef), Nando Papa (Head Sommelier of the Verdura resort), Pietro Russo & Andrea Lonardi (Master of Red Wine).

A sensorial journey through tastes and quality.

The celebration will open on Friday 28 June with the inauguration of the exhibit ON THE TERRACES … red wine in art, followed by an APERIDIVINO in Piazza Castello at 7.30 pm in which Francesco Saverio Russo will direct us in a totally free masterclass to find the scents and flexibility of the Moscato and Brachetto grapes, in cooperation with the Consortia for the Defense of Asti and Acqui Red Wines, at 9.30 pm the funny program UNA PIAZZA PER Fee with Chris Clun and Simone Riccobono, the very first day of the Divino Celebration concludes with the show in Povia which will begin at 10.30 pm.

On Saturday 29 June, red wine lovers will have the ability to immerse themselves in a distinct sensorial experience thanks to the masterclasses performed by the prominent professionals in the sector. At 11.00, at the Il Palazzaccio dining establishment, an assisted tasting of Chianti red wines will be held by Francesco Saverio Russo in cooperation with the Chianti Rufina Consortium.

In the afternoon, at 5.00 pm, Riccardo Gabriele and Francesco Saverio Russo will accompany the individuals on a journey to find the La Regola, Michele Satta, Fattoria di Fibbiano, Pietroso, Spalletti, Colonna di Paliano, Querceto di Castellina and Podere Specialty wineries.

At 6.00 pm, Oscar Farinetti will go back to Castelbuono to provide his newest book, “10 relocate to deal with the future. A brand-new life through satisfaction and appeal.”

The night will continue with the Grand Awards Gala, an occasion committed to the very best skills in the food and red wine world.

Sunday 30 June, the last day of the occasion, will open at 10.30 am with a special Breakfast of Champions committed to the cellars of Etna, with the involvement of Luca Martini, Finest Sommelier worldwide for the World Sommelier Association, and Pietro Russo, Master of White wine 2024.

From 4.00 pm to 9.30 pm, the cloister of San Francesco will host an excellent tasting with red wines from around 200 Sicilian, Italian and foreign wineries.

A chance to find the location and its quality. At 9.30 pm, in Piazza Castello, tasting of Testa di Turco, a common Castelbuonese dessert, and after that the grand ending with the Laboratory Orchestra of Massimo Minutella and PAOLO BELLI Unique Visitor. The eighteenth edition of the Divino Celebration concerns fulfillment thanks to the dedication of a group of young Sicilians with the contribution of the Town of Castelbuono, Ars, the departments of efficient activities, cultural heritage and Sicilian identity, Farming, rural advancement and Mediterranean fishing and thanks to the sponsors RCR and Giaconia.
