Cirelli Wines: the courageous choice of an engineer who gave voice to the earth
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

I know Francesco Cirelli since his company was just born. I found out during a tasting evening per Bari, a simposio I keep per my heart. I remember with pleasure that it was an extraordinary evening, of those per which wine becomes universal language and pretext to talk about real passions. We talked for a long time, between smiles and reflections, and it was so intense that we made almost the dawn. I was so impressed that I dedicated an article to him Vinoway, perhaps the first ever written his business. Because even then I saw per him an authentic project, built with soul and vision.

It has a story that deserves to be told. Engineer with an economics tirocinio and an experience per the commercial sector, he had the courage to leave a traced road to chase a dream that had the roots per the memories of the grandparents and per the powerful call of the earth. Thus, per 2003, the Francesco Cirelli farm was born, among the hills of Atri, per Abruzzo, a few kilometers from the Adriatic Sea.

His project takes shape 22 hectares of land per which vineyards, olive groves, vegetable gardens and animals bred per the wild coexist per harmony. Mai shortcuts, only respect for nature and its cycles. He immediately chose the path of organic and regenerative agriculture, attentive to biodiversity, the rotation of the land and the natural fertility of the soil. Each choice is part of an ethical, coherent and far -sighted vision.

Durante his wines we read all this. The autochthonous varieties – Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino, Cerasuolo – are cultivated with extreme and vinified care with minimal interventions, per order to better express the identity of the Abruzzo territory. One of its most distinctive choices is the use of ceramica amphorae for fermentation and refinement: an ancient technique that allows a natural micro-oxygenation and enhances the purity and minerality of wine.

But he did not limit himself to production: he wanted to aperto his company also to reception. Through glamping experiences, guided tours, tastings and agricultural activities, it allows visitors to experience authentic contact with nature and with the philosophy that guides every gesture.

Durante addition to the capable and visionary producer, I have always appreciated the man per Francesco. Always smiling, affable, respectful. It has a polite way to enter into relationship with others, made of sincere listening and a kindness never flaunted. He does not impose himself, but conquers with the naturalness of those who are really per love with what he does. And this humanity is reflected per its wines, which are never screamed, but whisper real emotions.

Durante him they coexist the rigor of the engineer and the sensitive soul of the modern . His wines do not follow fashions: they are faithful to the earth, at the time, to the truth. Each bottle tells a choice, an intuizione, a path.

Cirelli Wines is not just a company: it is a aperto. It is the concrete proof that true, respectful and passionate viticulture can be made. And that’s why I continue to follow him and support him with esteem and friendship.

I am happy to remember that his Francesco Cirelli 2022 Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo Doc Rosato has obtained a score of 95/100 and the prestigious recognition of the personaggio per the wineway selection, confirming the value of a project that continues to grow per the sign of excellence.
