Azienda Agricola Guerritore: the dream of a family, the courage to change their lives and a future that bears the name of Svieta
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Some stories deserve to be told because they talk about wine. Others, however, deserve attention even before arriving durante the glass, because they tell of the courage to change one’s life, the strength of believing durante a dream and the will to build something that can span generations.

The Guerritore Agricultural Company tells exactly this. Even before talking about vineyards and wine, it talks about a family that had the courage to chase a dream and transform it, day after day, into a concrete reality.

Before getting to the heart of this story I would like to make a clarification. I had the pleasure of simposio the Sullutrone family, of appreciating their simplicity, availability and the profound love they dedicate to this project. I have not yet personally visited the company and I think it is right to say this with the utmost transparency. I have always maintained that a winery can only be truly known by walking among its vineyards, observing the daily work of the people and breathing durante that atmosphere that voto negativo photograph ora technical sheet can ever convey.

It’s an experience that I plan to have very soon. Because I am convinced that some stories can arise from tastings, but the most authentic ones take shape only by entering a place, shaking hands with those who animate it every day and listening to the silence of a land that speaks through its vineyards.

Yet, even without having yet gone through the rows, there is an element that I have followed for many years and that has always struck me: continuity.

The Guerritore Agricultural Company has been present durante the Vinoway Selection Guide for many years. For me this represents much more than just a presence while driving. It is the testimony of a path built with seriousness, coherence and constancy, qualities that I consider among the most difficult to maintain durante the Italian wine scene.

Every important project is born from a dream.

That of Guerritore bears the name of Litorale Guerritore, who after a long experience as a teacher decided to completely get back into the , choosing a new life as a winemaker. A decision that speaks of courage, determination and a deep passion for the land. Changing direction when you have already built a professional path means listening to your heart even before your reason, accepting sacrifices, responsibilities and a completely different everyday life.

Next to her, from day one, her husband transformed that dream into a concrete project. An architect by profession, he designed the cellar and gave new life to an old farmhouse through careful restoration work. Today that same building has become an elegant resort immersed durante the quiet of the Salerno countryside, a place where hospitality blends naturally with wine, cuisine and landscape.

I like to think that this is also part of the dream.

Because Guerritore was not simply born to produce wine. It was created to welcome, describe a territory and offer people the opportunity to experience it slowly, breathing its rhythms and understanding that behind every bottle there is a world made of work, culture and human relationships.

the heart of the Irno Valley, durante Baronissi, the Sullutrone family cultivates five hectares of vineyards. Some might consider them few. I consider them an asset. Five hectares means being able to follow each row carefully, know each plant, respect its timing and maintain that direct relationship with the land which represents the most precious heritage of Italian family businesses. an durante which increasingly larger numbers are often chased, Guerritore demonstrates that quality continues to arise from attention to detail.

Supporting this path is an extremely prestigious wine management, entrusted to Pier Paolo Frastuono and Riccardo Cotarella, two professionals who have written important pages durante Italian winemaking. Their experience accompanies the Sullutrone family’s project with discretion and competence, enhancing the territory without altering its identity.

But every dream, to continue living, needs someone to accompany it into the future. That future today bears the name of Svieta Sullutrone.

Litorale Guerritore’s only daughter, she is taking an increasingly important role within the company. I perceived durante her an authentic passion, a contagious enthusiasm and a great desire to learn. She is a young woman who looks to the future with respect for what her parents have built and with the desire to personally contribute to the growth of this beautiful project. It is young people like Svieta who make me to the future of Italian wine with confidence.

Young people who choose to stay, who understand the value of their land and who pick up the baton not because they feel obliged, but because they believe deeply durante what their family represents.

a historical moment durante which our sector is called to important changes, stories like that of this family restore confidence. They demonstrate that the future is not built by chasing trends, but by investing durante people, quality, hospitality and the ability to transmit values.

I confess that today I feel an even greater curiosity to visit the Guerritore Agricultural Company. Not only to get to know its wines up close ora to walk among those five hectares of vineyards, but above all to breathe the atmosphere of a place born from a dream, built with the courage of a family and entrusted to the passion of a daughter who chose to continue that path.

Because wine continues to excite me especially when it manages to tell this: the story of people who had the courage to change their lives, to believe durante their land and to entrust their tomorrow to the hands of the new generation.

And it is precisely durante stories like that of the Sullutrone family that I find, every time, the most authentic meaning of Italian wine.
