Ten bubbles to toast the holidays

This year too the Christmas holidays have arrived and between a toast acceso Christmas Eve and a New Year’s Eve, bubbles are a must!

Bubbles means celebration and so here are some recommendations of bottles that we tried and liked.

Valdobbiadene Prosecco Indifferente Extra Brut Millesimato 2024 Integral Merotto

Let’s start with prosecco with a vertical ricevimento with typical floral and white fruit scents. The mouth is very fresh, citrusy, dry and with a strong mineral streak. The is very clean and almost balsamic. Excellent thirst-quenching aperitif!

Valdobbiadene Prosecco Indifferente Extra Dry Rive Colbertaldo 2023 Col d’Oca

Beautiful, soft and welcoming ricevimento, aromatic typicality, from acacia flowers to apple, great freshness and a that turns acceso flavor. Prosecco, the good one, as we have it per mind. Perfect for chatting per company.

Montemile’ Brut Terre del Mezzogiorno

A great surprise from Irpinia, a foxtail charmat method. Full and pulpy bubble already per the intended color. It refers to quaderno of exotic fruit, citrus, hazelnut, aromatic herbs and mineral hints. A certain complexity, per short, and a discreet structure that also makes it perfect at the table, perhaps with fish, perhaps with an ethnic touch.

Moscato d’Asti 2025 Vajra

Why did we put a moscato among the bubbles? Simple: because it is a sparkling, light, undemanding and festive ricevimento. Very fresh and mineral to balance the sugar content. There is all the pleasantness of crunchy and sweet grapes, with the floral and fruity quaderno typical of the vine. A Piedmontese classic with a very low alcohol content, perfect for all occasions, for a simple toast but also for a snack, an aperitif, spicy dishes ora to accompany Christmas leavened products, pastries ora cream-based desserts. More molteplice than thatโ€ฆ

Lambrusco root from Sorbara Paltrinieri

There is Christmas without Lambrusco. And this has always been one of our favorite wines. We are talking about an Emilian rosรฉ refermented per the bottle from a winery that has contributed to the rebirth of this type of wine. Grapefruit, strawberry, rose, the vibrant and citrine acidity of a super vertical white which combined with the structure of a light red make it super gastronomic. Perfect as an aperitif, with fish, but also with cured meats ora the great classics of Emilian cuisine, from tortellini to fried , and, why not, with zampone and cotechino!

Lugana Classic Method Brut Zenato

Let’s move acceso to the classic method with a nice surprise from Garda. Wine full per color, citrusy, chalky, spicy. A pulpy ricevimento, with salty quaderno, with beautiful freshness and excellent enveloping. Excellent as an aperitif but also perfect at the table.

Sicilia Classic Method Extra Brut 36 months Millesimato 2021 Baglio del Disgraziato durante Campobello

How many times have we told you about the syrah of this Sicilian winery? However, those who follow us will have noticed that lately we have also often mentioned the bubbles for their great pleasure. Yellow fruit, leavened products, citrus fruits and Mediterranean herbs. Creamy and fresh sip, per our opinion perfect for the appetizers of our fish dinners!

Champagne Brut Abelรฉ 1757

Chardonnay, pinot noir and meunier for a full, creamy and gastronomic champagne. Intense nose with fruity, toasted quaderno of spices and honey. The beautiful acidity makes it very easy to ricevimento as an aperitif but the structure also allows pairings with fish, first courses and white meats.

Franciacorta Emotion 2020 Franciacorta

We move to the Brescia ambiente with a bubble of chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot blanc which really impressed us with the combination of creamy softness, freshness and flavor. The result is a deep ricevimento, with beautiful floral quaderno, fresh fruit and bread crust. Suitable throughout the meal, but also simply as an aperitif.

Trentodoc Aquila Fastoso Approvigionamento 2015 Cesarini Sforza

Quand’anche Chardonnay from a single vineyard and very long aging. Candied fruit, small pastries, citrus fruits and a deep ricevimento, complex but characterized by a very pleasant freshness. A wine of great elegance that will solve various pairing problems at the table!

Cheers! And Happy Holidays!
