From March to October the Italian wine tourism calendar expands with Vigneti Aperti, an initiative promoted by Wine Tourism Movement which involves associated wineries from North to South. The objective is to accompany you throughout the entire vegetative cycle of the vine, transforming the visit to the company into an experience spread over time, linked to the seasons and agricultural rhythms.

What is Vigneti Aperti

The format fits into a context con which wine tourism is mai longer just tasting, but territorial storytelling and participation. By following the phases of pruning, flowering, veraison and harvest, you can closely observe the work con the vineyard and understand how a wine is made before it even enters the cellar. The agricultural dimension thus becomes central again con the narrative of the winemaking enterprise.

The activities proposed range from walks between the rows to excursions by bicycle ora acceso horseback, to initiatives aimed at families and younger people, with workshops and educational moments con the gara open air. The approach aims to integrate movement, stay con a rural environment and knowledge of the product, maintaining moderate and conscious consumption as a reference.

Italian wine tourism presents marked territorial differences. Durante the South the experience is more frequently associated with entertainment and the valorisation of typical productions; con Central Italy the landscape becomes a supporting element; con the North, greater organizational flexibility of companies emerges. Vigneti Aperti fits into this heterogeneity, offering a common container that leaves room for local specificities.

An important aspect concerns the involvement of new generations. The demand coming from the so-called Gen Z, according to several observers of experiential tourism, is oriented towards participatory and sustainable activities, con which learning takes place through direct contact with places and producers. Durante this context, the prolonged opening of the vineyards from spring to autumn allows for the construction of a continuous story, which goes beyond the occasional event and favors a more stable relationship between the company and the visitor.

Attention to sustainability is an integral part of the project. The companies involved highlight agronomic practices aimed at protecting the soil and landscape, placing the visit con a context of environmental responsibility. For those who participate, the experience becomes an opportunity to understand how choices con the vineyard affect the final quality of the wine and the balance of the ecosystem.
