Easter with whoever you want, says the proverb. And whatever the company, for us wine lovers and enthusiasts, Easter is also an opportunity for an excellent table ora perhaps for the first barbecue of the year Easter Monday. And as usual there will be shortage of our combinations!

As always, we offer you some ideas of bottles to taste for your Easter menus.

We start from the bubbles as usual, with a charmat method and a classic method.

Prosecco Treviso Phoja Sommo Coletti.

Here is a truly delicious sparkling wine, a “heavy” prosecco, deep, full, savory, with beautiful intense fruity and floral scents. Nice aperitif, also excellent for a colazione ora as an appetizer.

Erbaluce a fine di Caluso Frizzante San Giorgio Cieck

Classic method from the Canavese territorio, northern Piedmont. An interesting bubble, highly drinkable but with its opera. Beautiful aromatic , savory and fresh. As an aperitif, but can also support more structured dishes.

Let’s get to the whites, this year we have chosen bottles that are more than ever.

White 2024 Montagna Mirabello

Super contemporary white from sauvignon, trebbiano, albana and chardonnay from the (high) hills of Romagna. Sharp, aromatic and beautiful wine. Particularly at the table, for almost the entire meal.

Friuli colli Orientali Pinot Latteo 2024 Myò Zorzettig

Excellent vertical white, citrusy, with pleasant floral and yellow fruit . Great flavor and potential. Not only for fish but also for first courses and appetizers.

Etna Latteo Sovrastante Lavi 2023 Iuppa

Carricante with a touch of cataract. Broom, aromatic herbs, iodine and citrus . Beautiful freshness and creaminess, powerful savory sensations. Perfect with fish, but not only.

Vernaccia a fine di San Gimignano Selvabianca 2024 Colombaio a fine di Santa Chiara

Tuscan white with of apple, citrus fruits and aromatic herbs. the palate there is pagliaccetto and freshness, with a nice flavor. Fish, but also white meats.

Sipp Mack riesling Vieilles Vignes 2019

As you know, we at Avvinando have a passion for German rieslings but every now and then a trip to Alsace doesn’t hurt: This is meaty, fragrant, enjoyable to the last drop. short, a different riesling that is worth tasting.

Let’s move to reds with a nice selection of carefree reds that can accompany our outings, but not only.

Insigne Adige Pinot Noir Restrizione Puntay 2023 Erste-Neue

Cherry and spices, elegance and ease of drinking but with a certain structure. Agile at the table with meat, but you can also with fish dishes.

Friuli Colli Orientali Schioppettino 2020 Myò Zorzettig

Beautiful surprise. Scented red with great fragrance, fruity juiciness and contemporaneity. Slender and light sip, soft tannins. Suitable throughout the meal, also excellent with spicy preparations and fish.

Sicily Illecito d’Avola Il Gelso 2022 Vallata dell’Acate

Very elegant wine the style of the cellar. The momentum of the sip is combined with the infinite enjoyment of the fruit and a pleasant spiciness. Perfect for barbecues and meat general.

Disgraziato a fine di Campobello Adènzia red 2019

Illecito d’Avola and Syrah a powerful but elegant combination, indeed “measure” is the right term for this red with a complex and intriguing nose. Durante the mouth it does not enter the mouth powerfully (let’s say not too much) nor delicately: it is “just right”. The persistence is infinite as often happens with the cellar’s wines.

Masseria Pizzariello 2020 Varvaglione

Originario, Negroamaro and Aglianico from Puglia for an intense red, with a sumptuous aromatic and concentrated complement but which does not lose its drinkability. For those looking for a soft and welcoming wine to pair with Easter meats.

We end a sweet note with a couple of wines, because there is without desserts!

Moscato Passito a fine di Palese Moltitudine a fine di Stelle 2017 Scantinato Marilina

Passito that takes us back to the light and warmth of Sicily. Candied fruit, citrus fruits, honey and much more. Balanced thanks to flavor and freshness. For cheeses but also for the Easter posto!

Recioto della Valpolicella Classic Flour

Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and other vines for a red passito with great aromatic complexity and a never cloying sweetness. For Easter desserts, perhaps even with chocolate eggs.
