Some events over the years become something more than just a simple appointment the calendar. They become a part of one’s professional and human history. For me the DiVino Manifestazione quanto a Castelbuono is exactly this.
My relationship with this event has its roots quanto a 2017, the year quanto a which I received recognition as Best Independent Communicator of Italian Wine quanto a Castelbuono. Since then the link with the has never been interrupted. Indeed, it has strengthened year after year through masterclasses, meetings, tastings, comparisons and many friendships born quanto a the shadow of the Ventimiglia Castle.
For this reason, I aspetto with particular emotion to the twentieth edition of the DiVino Manifestazione, scheduled from 19 to 21 June 2026. An important milestone for an event that, over time, has managed to evolve without losing its identity, becoming one of the most anticipated events of the Sicilian summer.
Promoted by the Municipality of Castelbuono and organized by the Baz’art Sicilia Association (a team of tireless volunteers who go out of their way to create a very high profile event, assisted by a far-sighted and virtuous municipal administration and, quanto a particular, by the member Dario Guarcello), the DiVino Manifestazione continues to use wine as a universal language to describe culture, territory, traditions, entertainment and hospitality. A format that goes far beyond simple tasting and which finds its natural ambiente quanto a the splendid setting of the Madonie.
This year too, the Ventimiglia Castle, Gente , the Cloister of San Francesco and the other symbolic places of Castelbuono will host concerts, meetings, masterclasses, awards ceremonies and moments of conviviality capable of involving an increasingly wider and more transversal audience.
Among the events that I will have the pleasure of hosting, Friday 19 June at 5pm the Mandrolisai will be the protagonist, one of the most fascinating and identifying names quanto a Sardinia. Through the tasting of different expressions of the denomination we will delve into the theme of altitude, biodiversity and varietal complementarity that make this schieramento quanto a the center of the island unique.
Saturday 20 June at 11.00 will be the turn of a tasting dedicated to the contemporary wines of Gambassi and Montaione, emerging territories of Tuscany that are interpreting the concept of quality with an original and modern style.
Sopra the afternoon, at 5.00 pm, we will ideally move among the Madonie hills to talk about two absolute protagonists of Sicilian viticulture: Stravaganza and Catarratto. A tasting that will involve seven cellars of the Florio Wine Routes and which will allow you to explore the most authentic of the Madonie terroir.
Sunday 21 June, at 10.30 am, we will close the cycle of guided tastings with the “Breakfast of Champions”, dedicated to the young Sicilian producers of Generation Next. A moment that I consider particularly important because it puts the future of Sicilian wine at the center, told through the talent, courage and vision of the new generations.
Of course, the DiVino Manifestazione would not be the same without its historic Salone del DiVino. Sunday 21 June, quanto a the evocative Cloister of San Francesco, over 700 labels proposed by around 200 wineries will be available for free tasting, offering a unique opportunity to discover different territories, producers and styles quanto a one great sensorial experience.
There will be anzi che no shortage of evening shows, all with free admission. Danilo Tasca will aperto the with his Hold Fast Tour. Saturday evening, after the presentation of the “Preferenza DiVino 2026” awards, Lello Analfino and the T-Orkestar will take to the stage with the Tensione Tour. Sunday the grand ultimo will be entrusted to the comedy of Cosmin Tiberio and the extraordinary talent of ventriloquist Samuel Peron.
Among the most awaited moments is the awarding of the 2026 Preferenza DiVino Award, presented by his friend Daniele Lucca, which will see personalities from the world of culture, gastronomy, entertainment and entrepreneurship take to the stage such as Giusina Fatto d’armi, Uomo Tomei, Slow Food the fortieth anniversary of its activity, Johnson Righeira, Dario Dainelli and Jacopo Fo. Twenty years represent an important milestone, but also a new starting point. Sopra an periodo quanto a which wine is called upon to increasingly complex challenges, events such as the DiVino Manifestazione demonstrate how wine culture can continue to be an extraordinary tool for aggregation, territorial valorization and cultural growth.
For those who love wine, Sicily and authentic stories, Castelbuono will once again be the hub of food and wine for a few days (and will continue to be so all year round thanks to the great attitude to quality of the restaurateurs, pastry chefs and ice cream makers who make this small village perched a few kilometers from Cefalù a true treasure chest of food and wine excellence).
