Description

Are you trying to find a method to accelerate the cooking of vegetables? Attempt the pressure cooker and you will no longer have the ability to do without it: in half the time you can prepare all the vegetables you desire, with simply water or with the addition of bay leaves or other fragrant herbs. In this dish we discuss how to prepare fresh borlotti beans in a pressure cooker, taking simply 20 minutes. When all set, you can season them with a drizzle of oil and serve them with a part of cereals, or include them to salads. They are likewise best to utilize as a base to prepare hummus or veggie meatballs.

Active Ingredients

500 g fresh pinto beans;
2 Bay leaves;
1 pinch of salt.

Guidelines

Wash the fresh borlotti beans and move them to the pressure cooker. Cover them with cold water (around double the volume of the beans) and include the bay leaves. Include a pinch of salt and close the pressure cooker with the proper cover. Prepare them over high heat till the pan begins to whistle. Lower the heat and continue cooking for 15 minutes. Before opening it, let all the steam escape from the proper valve on the cover. If you observe that the beans are still a little difficult, you can close the pressure cooker and continue cooking for another 5 minutes, ensuring there suffices water.
