At Easter we commemorate with the Classic Approach Brut and the D’Or Luce Albana di Romagna Docg Passito signed Branchini 1858

Easter is an unique minute, a chance to collect friends and family around a table packed with specials. And what much better method to commemorate this celebration than with the red wines of Branchini 1858?

Branchini 1858 is a winery with a history of 166 years, bied far from generation to generation with excellent enthusiasm. Found in the Dozza countryside, in Toscanella, in a location abundant in winemaking customs, the business crosses a location of 100 hectares, of which 26 are committed to vines. Presently led by siblings Marco and Angelo Branchini, the 4th generation of the household, the business has actually constantly put the valorization of the normal nature of the area and the production of high quality red wines at the center of its goals. Research study and attention to the vineyard are outright top priorities, with farming targeted at keeping the physiological balance of the vines and maintaining the special character of the terroir.

Albana is the symbol of the production of Branchini 1858, a vine that embodies the soul of Romagna. To maximize this remarkable vine, the business chose to utilize it for the production of the Classic Approach, enlivening the Classic Approach Branchini 1858 Brut, 100% Albana. We attempted it. Below are our impressions.

Timeless Approach Branchini 1858 Brut

Tasting notes

100% Albana, after the draft it develops for 36 months on the yeasts and the remuage is performed strictly by hand.

Visual assessment: brilliant straw yellow embellished with a fine and consistent perlage.

Olfactory assessment: the nose is marked by fragile fragrances of apple and herbaceous embroidery, followed by white flowers, chamomile and routes that cause brioche.

Olfactory trial run: freshness and taste draw a direct and sinuous taste course, which gradually catches the taste buds, closing with a nuanced bitter path.

Pairing: outstanding with appetisers and fish main dishes.

For the inescapable Easter dove, nevertheless, absolutely nothing beats the D’Or Luce Albana di Romagna Docg Passito by Branchini 1858. This white wine, gotten from dried grapes and subjected to a long fermentation in brand-new barriques, releases extreme and fruity fragrances on the nose of apricot jam, chamomile, sweet spices and dried flowers, while on the taste buds the sweet taste is stabilized by an enjoyable freshness. It is an ideal white wine to couple with dry pastries and blue cheeses.
