Ratatouille is a side meal made from veggies common of Provencal food, prevalent throughout much of France and particularly in the city of Nice, where it is exactly called ratatouille niçoise; its name stimulates the gesture of stirring the veggies, which originates from the French touiller and from Occitan ratatolha.
