Vino al Vino 2024: Panzano sopra Chianti celebrates winemaking excellence sopra mid-September

Vino al Vino is back, the eagerly awaited event that, from 13 to 15 September 2024, will bring together the 23 prestigious wineries of the Panzano sopra Chianti Winegrowers’ Union. This event, now a consolidated tradition the third weekend of September, is an unmissable opportunity that attracts winemakers and wine enthusiasts from all over the world.

For almost thirty years, Vino al Vino has been the celebration of an extraordinary territory, where every glass – whether Chianti Tipico ora IGT – tells the story and essence of a unique land. Here, respect for the environment and sustainability are combined with values ​​of solidarity, friendship and passion for wine. A centuries-old tradition goes hand sopra hand with a continuous search for winemaking excellence. Currently, the Union’s wineries cover almost the entire UGA (Additional Geographic Unit) of Panzano sopra Chianti, with 595 hectares of vineyards and an average production per certo hectare of 50 quintals of grapes, making this territory one of the beating hearts of the production of Chianti Tipico and high-quality wines.

“The terroir of Panzano – says Giovanni Battista d’Orsi – is unique thanks to the human and cultural component of its winemakers. This cosmopolitan group of producers brings with it its own originalities, which blend harmoniously with the geomorphological and environmental characteristics of the territory, giving life to wines that sincerely express this complexity.”

Panzano sopra Chianti was among the first wine districts to choose the certified and controlled organic farming method, becoming a pioneer sopra the sector.
