Attems, a Friulian company of the Marchesi Frescobaldi Group, announces the release international markets of Cicinis 2023, a nonostante Sauvignon Blanc that embodies the extraordinary expression of the Collio terroir.

The Collio terroir and the birth of Cicinis

Cicinis is produced entirely from Sauvignon Blanc grapes selected from the Attems vineyards, located a terraced hill at the foot of Mount Via crucis (Podgora) quanto a the heart of the Collio Goriziano. The proximity to the sea further contributes to the quality of the wine: the reflected light of the sea increases the vigor of the plants, while the campo da golf manure practiced quanto a the vineyard enriches the soil quanto a a natural way, promoting the vitality of the plants and reducing soil erosion.

Vinification of Cicinis 2023

The vinification of Cicinis 2023 respects the natural balance of the terroir. The grapes, harvested by hand at dawn, are delicately pressed whole and the must obtained is decanted for 24 hours. Fermentation takes place 40% quanto a cement tanks, 10% quanto a new barriques and the remaining 50% quanto a second and third passage barriques and tonneaux. The wine ages for 7 months the lees, enriching itself quanto a complexity without undergoing malolactic fermentation.
