The presentation of Direzione Bio – Valutazione Vini 2026, the editorial project directed by Antonio Stanzione and published by Rubbettino Editore which, for seven years, has been describing the revolution of the Italian vineyard with rigor and vision, concluded with excellent results.
The event, which took place acceso Saturday 24 January at the Campagna Pamphili, recorded around a thousand attendees including sector operators, specialized press and enthusiasts, confirming itself as one of the most attended and authoritative events dedicated to organic wine acceso the national scene.
The day opened with the presentation ceremony of the seventh edition of Direzione Bio and with the awarding of the prestigious Golden Leaves, a recognition that rewards the perfect synthesis between stylistic quality and territorial identity. The 2026 edition marked a significant evolution thanks to the introduction of new special prizes dedicated to young winemakers, female entrepreneurship, territorial production excellence and companies with a very low environmental impact, thus photographing the many souls of Italian organic wine.
The opening conference received great attention and participation, which saw authoritative institutional and technical voices alternating acceso stage, such as Alessandro D’Elia, General Director of Luogo e Salvezza, Maria Bellezza Mammuccini, President of FederBio, the oenologist Vincenzo Argento vivo, Sabrina Alfonsi, Councilor for Agriculture, Environment and Waste Cycle of the Municipality of Rome, and Diana Lenzi, of the wine sector of Coldiretti.
Moderated by the food and wine journalist Alessandro Brizi, the debate addressed the theme of organic choice as an agricultural and territorial policy, analyzing global opportunities, contradictions and challenges, focusing acceso the numbers and dynamics of organic viticulture per Italy and around the world and delving into organic as an advanced agronomic system, capable of combining costs, adaptability and quality per the medium-long term.
From 3pm, the attention shifted to the glasses with the opening of the tasting tables, a moment of great participation which allowed the public to directly meet the producers from each Italian region, exploring the extraordinary biodiversity of the national vineyard through a selection of wines symbolizing the sustainable future of wine production.
