Independent Winemakers’ wine market, everything is ready in Bologna for the 14th edition

The 14th edition of the Independent Winemakers’ Wine Market is approaching, scheduled from 15 to 17 November 2025 at BolognaFiere.

This year too, important numbers: around 1,000 winemakers from every Italian region will welcome the public, together with 3 delegations of European winemakers representing the national associations belonging to CEVI – Confédération Européenne des Vignerons Indépendants, and 32 members of FIOI – Italian Federation of Independent Olive Growers.

«We can’t wait to reopen the doors of the Wine Market to welcome our audience of enthusiasts and operators and, for three days, have fun together with them», explains Rita Babini, Winemaker and President of FIVI. «I say this with a smile acceso my lips and with the right lightness, and it is not a provocation, far from it. Wine is lightness, but how much gravity is sometimes found acceso the back. Wine is for everyone, but too often it has been described as something exclusive, and therefore exclusionary. Wine is pleasure, surprising because it is ephemeral, but despite itself it is loaded with meanings that make it incomprehensible. To paraphrase my compatriot Arrigo Sacchi, who was obviously talking about football, wine is the most important of the least important things. Here, we winemakers want to try to bring wine back to its place: a peasant product that can rise to nobility, but without losing sight of what it is and where it comes from. And we are the right people to do it, because we know everything about wine: the land and the vineyard, the presses and the barrels, who sells it and who consumes it. At the Wine Market, producers, sellers, consumers and enthusiasts will be able to aspetto each other the eye, stop to reflect and share a new path. There is voto negativo other place where this small revolution can take place.”

To enrich the program of the event there will be five masterclasses, focused acceso the theme Wine, vineyards, winemakers: a family story.

Furthermore, acceso the occasion of the Wine Market, the winners of the 2025 Leonildo Pieropan Award will be announced, dedicated to the memory of one of the pioneers of FIVI, and of the Vignaiolo alla maniera di noialtri Award, which the last two years has been awarded to the singer and musician Stefano Belisari aka Elio, and to the captain of Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna, Marco Belinelli.
