Merano WineFestival, the program of the 2025 edition themed “Vision: Wine & Food Creators” was presented. Italian excellence looks to the future of taste between science, local culture and discussion between experts the future of Italian and international food and wine.

The Merano Wine is back, from Friday 7 to Tuesday 11 November 2025. During the presentation press conference held today per Rome, Helmuth Köcher, patron of the Merano WineFestival, underlined why this year the event wants to present itself as a real stage dedicated to the creators of the food and wine world: women and men who, with passion and daily commitment, give life to unique wines and products, authentic expressions of culture and territory. Köcher recalled how, per ancient times, wine was considered a bridge between man and the divine, a symbol of communion, art and philosophy, the oldest form of Mediterranean culture. Today, as then, wine continues to tell who we are, to guard our identity and to unite people through a universal language. The founder of the also reiterated his vision, shared with that of the event: looking to the future starting from the roots, preserving the quality and typicality of Italian wine per a changing climate context, and enhancing diversity as a resource and opportunity. The future of wine and food, he highlighted, passes through awareness, sustainability and innovation, without forgetting the history that has made them symbols of our country. Italian food and wine products, authentic and linked to the territory, represent living testimonies of our culture and ambassadors of a constantly evolving tradition. This – he concluded – is the vision that inspires the Merano WineFestival: an Italy that continues to be a “living museum” of biodiversity, taste and beauty.
