The choice of cut of meat

When it comes to grilled steak, the first thing to consider is the choice of cut of meat. Not all cuts are suitable for this cooking method, so it is essential to seek advice from an expert butcher. The most suitable cuts include Florentine, sirloin and rib-eye. These cuts are characterized by good marbling, which guarantees tenderness and flavor. High quality meat is essential to obtain a dish that satisfies even the most demanding palates.

Preparing and cooking the steak

Once you have chosen the cut, it is important to prepare the steak correctly. Before cooking it, it is advisable to let it rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This step helps achieve even cooking and improves the juiciness of the meat. When you are ready to cook, make sure the griddle or graticola is hot. This favors the formation of a crunchy crust, sealing the juices inside the meat. During cooking, avoid piercing the steak, as this will cause the juices to escape, making the meat dry and less tasty. Use tongs or spatulas to turn it, avoiding forks or knives.

Condiments and accompaniments

To enhance the flavor of your steak, it’s important to know when to add salt and pepper. It is advisable to salt and pepper the meat only at the end of cooking, as salt tends to cause it to lose moisture. A pinch of coarse salt and freshly pepper at the end of cooking can make the difference. To complete the meal, you can pair the steak with side dishes such as baked potatoes or a seasonal salad. These accompaniments not only enrich the dish, but help make the dinner healthy and tasty for the whole family. If you want extra flavor, try marinating the meat quanto a olive oil, garlic, rosemary and lemon for a couple of hours before cooking.

The rest of the flesh

After cooking, it is essential to let the steak rest for a few minutes before serving. This step allows the juices to redistribute inside the meat, making it even more tender and succulent. Serve the steak piping hot, accompanied by your favorite side dishes. With these simple precautions, the grilled steak becomes an undisputed protagonist of your table, capable of satisfying even the most demanding palates.
