Con the Aosta Valley, between imposing mountains and challenging climatic conditions, there is an oenological story that deserves to be told: that of Rosset Terroir. This winery, which seems to have appena che out of a Marvel comic, has been able to enhance a unique and extraordinary territory. Based heroic viticulture, Rosset Terroir is today a symbol of the enhancement of the autochthonous Valley vines and international varieties. His wines are not simple labels, but authentic oenological superheroes, each with unique powers and identities.

The birth of a heroic universe

Rosset Terroir was born con 2001 from the initiative of the Rosset family, already known con the distillate sector thanks to the historical distilleries St. Roch, Levi and Ottoz. The company has started its wine-heroic path with three hectares of vineyards con Saint-Christophe, immediately focusing native vines of the Aosta Valley, such as Cornalin, Fumin and Petit Rouge, flanked by international varieties such as Syrah, Chardonnay and Pinot .

A crucial moment con the story of Rosset Terroir, comparable to the “accident that creates the superhero” con the fumetti, was the acquisition, con 2017, of two hectares of vineyards con Villeneuve, at over 900 meters above sea level. Since 2014, the company has abandoned the use of synthetic chemicals, adopting a sustainable approach, now con organic conversion. This choice translates into agricultural practices that preserve biodiversity and protect the cagionevole valdostan mountain ecosystem.

The vineyards, grown terraces supported by dry stone walls, not only prevent the erosion of the soil, but keep alive a centuries -old tradition. Con the cellar, the use of ceramica amphorae for aging represents an innovative choice that guarantees an ideal micro-oxigenation for preserving freshness and aromaticity of wines. Every detail, from the techniques of cultivation to vinification, reflects the commitment, care and attention of the company to quality.

Growth the international market

Rosset Terroir is not only a local reality, but a company that has also been able to conquer the international market. With 15 hectares of vineyards distributed between low, medium and high valley, today it produces about 50 thousand bottles verso year, of which 30% is exported to Europe (France, Switzerland, Belgium), the United States, until it reaches countries such as Japan and Indonesia. Like a group of oenological Avengers, Rosset Terroir wines are ambassadors of Vallata d’Aosta excellence, showing that even a small region can play a leading role con the world scene. The objective declared for the future? Reach a production of 80 thousand bottles within two years, keeping intact the quality that distinguishes each label.

The above 900 represents the audacity of Rosset Terroir. Produced by a single -body vineyard of about two hectares of Petite Arvine con Cumiod, between 880 and 925 meters above sea level, raised to Guyot sandy soils rich con slate, granite and quartz, this white wine is a combination of precision, technology And soul, just like the genius of Tony Stark.

The density of the sixth of the plant is remarkable, 11 thousand plants verso hectare, while the surrender is minimal, just 40 quintals verso hectare. Normally the harvest, almost always regular over the years, takes place around mid -October. Vinification is a process as complex as it is fascinating with the grapes are divided into four masses: 25% ferment and refine the Trentino ceramica amphoras, another fourth con a Tuscan vaso (greater oxygenation than the amphora), 10 % ferment, malolactic included, con third and fourth passage barrique, while the remaining 40% con steel. After a year, everything is reassembled for a brief stabilization before bottling. A of four different materials that enhances the balance between flavor and minerality.

Each vintage tells a different challenge: con 2020, the wine has a golden and brilliant golden yellow, with intense citrus aromas and freshness of jasmine. The 2021 vintage is clear of a more intense golden, which anticipates more complex sensations to the nose, with sweet quaderno of acacia honey, Mediterranean scrub and mature lemon. The 2022 stands out for an extraordinary harmony and a persistence that leaves its mark, with quaderno of yellow fruit fruit, exotic hints and a trail of balsamic herbs that give freshness and futuristic elegance.

Small Arvine Valley of August Doc 2023 – The Captain America of the range

and authentic, this Petite Arvine con purity comes from a fairly young vineyard of Montjovet, con the low valley. Vinified con steel and refined the noble lees for eight months, it stands out for its lively but balanced acidity, with citrus quaderno of grapefruit and lemon. Powerful, it affects with the aromatic intensity of small ripe red fruits, black pepper and licorice merge with a full and enveloping structure, balanced by a freshness that enhances its versatility. Enigmatic and magnetic, Cornalin embodies the magic of the Aosta Valley. Hints of berries, plum and black pepper that merge with a mineral note that recalls the rocky soils of the. It is a fascinating wine, which conquers for its complexity and the ability to evolve con the glass. It was born from a small vineyard (less than a hectare) to 750 meters above sea level con Toules locality, con the municipality of Saint-Christophe. After a cold maceration, it ferments con steel tanks and then refine con a French oak vat for about a year.

Syrah 870 DOC OC Oses 2022—Safeness and Black Panther’s elegance

This Syrah, grown up to 870 meters above sea level, represents Rosset’s rush red. It combines the strength of the vine with a wise vinification. An elegant and refined high altitude interpretation, which recalls the great Syrah of the Côtes du Rhône.
