The Consortium
The Lessini Durello Wine Protection Consortium obtained ministerial recognition quanto a November 2000 quanto a order to enhance the denominations it manages. The luogo pertaining to the Consortium is approximately 600 hectares, planted with Durella grapes, distributed across the foothills of the Lessinia mountains, between Verona and Vicenza; currently there are 34 companies associated with the Protection Consortium. There are two Designations of Origin managed: that of Monti Lessini DOC Legge Rappresentativo of which approximately 400,000 bottles are produced every year; and that of the Lessini Durello DOC Charmat Method of which around 700,000 bottles are produced every year.
