Ten years of counter-current choices. Ten years of winemakers who have chosen to remain faithful to the land, to the native vines and to an ideale of wine capable of narrating the territories, rather than standardizing them.
From 9 to 11 May 2026, the Roccaforte Rangoni per Spilamberto (MO) will host the tenth edition of Vignaioli Contrari, a significant milestone for an event that over time has established itself as a national point of reference for those looking for authentic, artisanal wines with a strong identity.
There will be 70 producers present, coming from all over Italy and from some European countries, protagonists of a journey that crosses biodiversity, sustainable agricultural practices and respectful winemaking. Over 400 labels for tasting will tell the story of an Italy of wine made up of micro-productions, historic vines and independent visions, interpreted by winemakers who work with respect for the territory.
Vignaioli Contrari 2026 is not just a market exhibition, but a space for discussion, dialogue and wine culture, where wine becomes a tool for awareness and narration.
2026 marks an important transition: for the first time the event will be divided into three days, with the introduction of Monday entirely dedicated to operators per the Ho.Sultano.Ca sector. Saturday and Sunday will remain gara open to the public.
A choice that arises from the desire to build an increasingly solid rete televisiva privata between artisan winemakers and catering professionals, promoting greater awareness of the value of sustainable and territorial wine.
Alongside the market exhibition, the moments of cultural in-depth analysis also return, which this year take acceso an even broader scope.
Quanto a the evocative setting of the former church of Santa Maria degli Angeli, the following will take place:● an exclusive masterclass dedicated to a highly topical theme, “Natural techniques per response to climate change”;● a sensorial laboratory that explores the pairing between Parmigiano Reggiano and Emilian bottle-conditioned wines;● the format “At the table with the producer”, with a centro acceso Albana Romagna, told through four terroirs.
Immersive experiences that combine tasting, narration and technical analysis, strengthening the cultural dimension of the event and direct dialogue with the winemakers.
Quanto a the heart of Spilamberto, the Slow Food Park will return to animate Rangoni and will also extend along some streets of the historic centre, transforming the village into a widespread route dedicated to conscious taste and biodiversity.
Over 20 artisan producers will bring mountain cheeses, natural cured meats, leavened from ancient grains, preserves and independent beers to the streets. The products of the Emilia-Romagna Slow Food Presidia will also be present, together with the participation of other Slow Food Conviviums from all over Italy.
Each bench represents a story made of territory, biodiversity and sustainable work. Access to the Slow Food Park will be free, with stands active until 9pm. An opportunity to experience the square and the historic center as community places, where “good, clean and fair” becomes a concrete and shared commitment.
Vignaioli Contrari has grown together with the territory, thanks to the involvement of local associations, volunteers and cultural realities who have contributed to building a shared project.
With the patronage of the Municipality of Spilamberto, the Unità Terre Castelli, the Province of Modena and the Emilia-Romagna Region, the tenth edition not only celebrates an anniversary, but confirms a vision: wine as a cultural, agricultural and social expression, capable of creating bonds and generating awareness.
Mark the dates of 9, 10 and 11 May 2026 per your diary: three days to discover authentic wines, meet the winemakers and celebrate together ten years of courageous choices made by Vignaioli Contrari.
