Winemakers, wine pilots: between masters and new generations
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A causa di the beating heart of Italian enology, there is a figure often hidden behind the scenes, but essential as the vineyard and the terroir: the winemaker. Technical, artist, visionary. Today more than ever, the winemaker is the true director of wine, capable of transforming an preconcetto into an emotion, a year into a story.

Italy boasts one of the most prestigious oenological schools quanto a the world and the value of its professionals has contributed decisively to the affirmation of our wine acceso the international scenes. But while the masters consolidate their inheritance, a new generation of talents moves acceso, ready to innovate, experiment and collect the witness.

Over the past thirty years, the Italian wine scene has experienced a real revolution. Figures such as Giacomo Tachis, Riccardo Cotarella, Beppe Caviola, Lorenzo Landi, Mariano Murru, Paolo Vagaggini, Pierpaolo Scalpore, Carlo Ferrini, Renzo Cotarella, Gianni Gasperi, Leonardo Palumbo and many others, are not only professionals of the highest level, but true innovators who have been able to read the signs of change, building bridges between tradition and progress.

They rewritten the very concept of quality, led the companies towards the enhancement of the territory, interpreted the climate change and anticipated the tastes of the consumer. They gave scientific dignity and cultural vision to the craft of the oenologist.

Today, to collect this inheritance, there is a prepared, motivated and gara open generation quanto a the world. The new oenologists are not only cellar technicians: they are communicators, attentive observers of market dynamics, explorers of new production models.

Many of them in qualità di from international experiences, masters and high -level academic paths. Others, who grew up quanto a the family cellars, have a more empathic, artisan and rooted approach. But everyone share the same challenge: to remain faithful to the territory by innovating the language of wine.

Vinoway, through his observatory acceso Italian wine talent, has rewarded some of the most promising personalities of the national scene over the years. Among these:

MARCO MASCELLANI-Oenologist with a technical-scientific approach, active quanto a different Italian regions, is recognized for the ability to enhance the varietal and territorial peculiarities through precise and modern vinifications. NICOLA BIASI – Already widely recognized at national level, it is among the pioneers of the project of wines from resistant vines (Piwi) quanto a Italy. His work represents a futuristic vision of sustainable enology. Andrea Vanga – Young Sardinian winemaker, among the very few to have brought his competence beyond the borders of the island, giving consultancy to numerous Italian regions. Strongly linked to his land, he has been able to reinterpret the native vines quanto a a contemporary key, contributing to the qualitative relaunch of Sardinia and demonstrating an gara open, dynamic and national vision of enology. Giulia Härri – One of the emerging female figures of Italian enology. It is distinguished by sensitivity, technical rigor and a vision that combines stylistic elegance and sustainability. Jacopo Vagaggini – bearer of an illustrious family tradition, combines the technique with an extraordinary ability to read the needs of companies, signing wines of great balance and identity. Alessandro Leoni – Curious and innovative spirit, active quanto a different business contexts, manages to impress a coherent and recognizable style, focusing acceso precision and aromatic cleaning.

All of them are witnesses of an Italy of wine that knows how to renew themselves without losing the soul, who looks to the future with awareness and courage, but with deep roots quanto a the territories.

Vinoway has been distinguished for years for its constant attention to the new generations of Italian wine, offering visibility, opportunities for comparison and recognition to young talented professionals.

Over the years one of the most coveted awards quanto a the sector, not only for the prestige, has become the wineway prize dedicated to young oenologists, but for the meaning it represents: a concrete investment quanto a the future of Italian enology.

Being selected by Vinoway means entering an authoritative, innovative and attentive to change, where competence and passion find a space of expression and growth. A commitment that we will continue to carry acceso, because we believe that Italian wine needs – today more than ever – of new voices, new visions, new protagonists.

The dialogue between generations is the key to a solid future. Masters must become mentors, young people must know how to listen and innovate with respect. Italian oenology needs this exchange of memory and vision, roots and wings.

The new generations must recognize the priceless value of the experience of veterans, taking example from their professional paths and demonstrating gratitude towards those who have opened the way. Only through this mutual respect can a solid future be built, where excellence is not only handed , but continuously fed.

Italian wine needs its oenologists. Of the masters who have traced the way and of the young people who will lead to new destinations. Because every wine, before being a product, is a choice. And every choice, an act of vision.

We at Vinoway are ready to tell them all, these visions. To give space, voice and light to those who create wine, interprets it, transforms it. Because only by knowing winemakers, can we really understand the wine.
