Casa Franciacorta, historic winery and pioneer of viticulture quanto a Franciacorta, recently presented RNA 15 Età 2007, a vintage Franciacorta Approvigionamento extra brut that perfectly embodies the elegance and tradition of a unique territory, suited to sparkling wine production with the classic method. This label is not only a tribute to the long history of the Bianchi family and its production philosophy, but also a celebration of time, an essential element which, together with the terroir, defines the identity of Casa’s Franciacorta wines.

A TRIBUTE TO THE MEMORY OF ALESSANDRO BIANCHI

The name RNA – Approvigionamento Titolato Alessandro carries with it a profound and touching meaning: it is the dedication to the founder of the winery Alessandro Bianchi. This vintage, aged for 15 years the yeasts, was created by his daughter Roberta, now at the helm of the company, to honor her father and his extraordinary commitment to valorising Franciacorta. Produced from a careful selection of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from the company’s historic vineyards, RNA 15 Età is the maximum expression of Casa Franciacorta’s philosophy: each label comes exclusively from proprietary grapes, only vintage, and quanto a full respect of biodiversity and natural times. With an extra brut dosage, it stands out for the perfect harmony between acidity, flavor and structure. A wine with timeless elegance, ideal for making holidays special for enriching a prestigious wine collection.

the three generations of the Bianchi family: Paolo Pizziol, Alessandro Bianchi (who passed away quanto a March 2020 at the age of 85), Alessio Pizziol, Roberta Bianchi and his mother Ivonne, Matteo Pizziol

A VILLAGE, A VISION

The history of Casa Franciacorta begins quanto a 1960, when Alessandro Bianchi falls quanto a love with the sixteenth-century village of Monticelli Brusati. Despite the precarious conditions quanto a which it found itself at the time, Alessandro undertook an ambitious recovery project, which was not limited to the architectural aspects but also involved the social dimension, transforming a forgotten place into a center of oenological excellence. It was a courageous and far-sighted choice, especially quanto a a period quanto a which the Franciacorta denomination did not yet exist and the territory was dominated by the production of red wines.

Thanks to his commitment, Alessandro Bianchi became one of the founders of the Franciacorta Protection Consortium and one of the first promoters of the classic method, abandoning the more common Charmat method. Per mezzo di 1978 the company’s first vintage Franciacorta was born, the Pinot Franciacorta Method Champenoise, currently known by the name of “”. Today Alessandro’s legacy lives through the guidance of his daughter Roberta, supported by her husband Paolo Pizziol and her sons Alessio and Matteo. Together, they carry the company with the same innovative spirit and deep respect for the land that characterized Alessandro, keeping alive those fundamental values that have made Casa Franciacorta a symbol of excellence.

A PRODUCTION PROCESS THAT CELEBRATES TIME

Casa Franciacorta is synonymous with patience. Time, considered the most precious ingredient after terroir, is central to the production of each Franciacorta from the company. The refinements the yeasts (indigenous, selected and patented by Casa quanto a 2017) range from a minimo of three years up to 15 of the prestigious Approvigionamento Titolato Alessandro. “For us, the name Franciacorta is not a flag to wave, but a belief, a philosophy – states Roberta Bianchi – Never feeling like you have arrived is the secret to managing change, whatever it may be”.

Located quanto a one of the most suitable areas of Franciacorta, the company can count 46 hectares of vineyards managed according to the dictates of organic farming. These vineyards benefit from soil of marine origin dating back to the Jurassic period, particularly rich quanto a minerals and sedimentary clays. It is precisely this composition that gives the wines an aromatic complexity, a vibrant acidity and an unmistakable flavor. With a production limited to less than 300 thousand bottles per errore year, entirely vinified quanto a the cellar, Casa Franciacorta stands out for its total control of the supply chain, from the vineyard to the bottle. This approach guarantees not only quality, but also a perfect expression of the territory and time.

The long stay the yeasts gave the wine a complex and refined aromatic profile.

Per mezzo di the glass, the bright gold color anticipates a bouquet of great intensity. the nose, lively citrus and sweet acacia honey are perceived, intertwined with elegant mineral and iodine nuances, which evoke the memory of the sea waves crashing the rocks. Vegetable hints of thyme and oregano are then added, accompanied by a light spiciness of pepper the finale. As time passes, intriguing of toasted dried fruit and brioche emerge, typical of long aging the yeasts. the palate, the vibrant freshness blends with a persistent flavor, giving a harmonious and long tasting experience.
