Cantele: a story of wine and family in the heart of Salento

Led by four cousins, the third generation of the family, Cantele is quanto a Guagnano, quanto a the heart of the Salento Pressorate

Cantele is today one of the most important wine -growing realities of Puglia, an emblem of tradition and innovation, led by the third generation of four cousins: Gianni and Paolo, sons of Augustus, and Umberto and Luisa, sons of Domenico. Located quanto a Guagnano, quanto a the heart of Salento, the company celebrates its values ​​rooted quanto a the territory, famous for its native vines such as Negroamaro, Arcaico, Verdeca and Susumaniello.

A journey started for love

The history of the cellar is intertwined with the vision and courage of Giovanni Battista Cantele and Teresa Manara. the 1950s, this couple moved from Veneto to Salento, a land that conquered them deeply. 1979, the sons Venerabile and Domenico founded the Cantele winery, marking an important step for the Apulian wine. Innovators from the beginning, they were the first quanto a Puglia to produce a Chardonnay fermented quanto a barrique, collecting success both among consumers and among the experts quanto a the sector.

Vines, territory and sustainability

Today the company has 50 hectares of owned vineyards and about 100 quanto a management, all cultivated according to principles of integrated voluntary defense. The Salento soils, naturally abbondante, benefit from an ideal exposure to dominant winds and sirocco dominant, promoting optimal maturation of the grapes. Among the rows, the native vines stand out, cultivated with techniques that respect the soil and the environment. The cellar adopts innovative agronomic strategies to minimize the environmental impact and fight the challenges of climate change. Since 2004, under the guidance of the Cataldo Ferrari agronomist, a rigorous sustainable management program has been introduced, which includes the call for chemical deserbo and the use of advanced monitoring technologies.

A multisensory experience

The cellar is also a simposio place for wine and culture enthusiasts. The food and wine laboratory offers an immersive journey between the Mediterranean flavors and the canor wines, celebrating the Salento traditions quanto a a contemporary context.

Innovation and research

Cantele continuously invests quanto a research. Through collaborations with universities and institutes such as CNR, the company has participated quanto a pioneering projects to improve the quality of wines and guarantee its safety. Among the most significant results include the isolation of native yeasts from Negroamaro and the innovations against organoleptic deviations paio to Brettanomyces. Energy sustainability is also a fundamental pillar: thanks to the agrisular project, the company today produces half of its energy needs through photovoltaic panels.

Amative: from the vineyard to the lips with elegance and innovation

For over twenty years, Amativo represents the harmony between the Negroamaro and Primitive vines. Today, this synthesis of elegance is transformed into an experience of beauty with the Amative Rossetto, born from the collaboration between Cantele and Omiderma, a leading company quanto a natural dermocosmesis. The lipstick combines aesthetics and cure thanks to the extracts of marc, seed oil, vegetable collagen and vitamin E, ingredients known for their moisturizing, antioxidant and regenerating properties. The amative red shade recalls the passion of wine, while the natural categoria nourishes and protects the lips, guaranteeing softness and comodità throughout the day. This innovation represents a sensory journey that from the Salento land reaches the cosmetics, confirming how the marc, as a by -product of the wine, can become a precious resource for well -being and beauty.

And the songs

The Cantele range is a tribute to the wealth of Salento and the family tradition. The main lines include:

– Classic cantele, seven modern and dynamic monovitigns;

– Rohesia, an elegant interpretation of Negroamaro quanto a the rosé version and classic method;

– Teresa Manara, dedicated to the progenitor of the family, with two chardonnay and two iconic reds;

– Amative, a primitive and Negroamaro blend that represents the winemaker of the cellar;

– Fanòi, enveloping wines inspired by the propitiatory traditions of Salento.

Tasting quaderno

Visual exam: Ruby red mantle.

Olfactive exam: enveloping quanto a the smell, the bouquet is expressed undergrowth quaderno, such as brunette and currant, fresh purple and a slight vanilla spicken.

Taste-olfactory exam: entrance quanto a soft, fresh and velvety mouth, with medium persistent fruit and spices.

Pairing: Excellent with first to meat, red meat ragù, aged cheeses.

Cantele represents a model of excellence for Apulian wine, capable of combining historical roots, family passion and constant attention to the future.
