Atthems reveals the new thousandth of Pinot Gray Coppy Friuli DOC
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Attenes presents Pinot Gray Rama 2024 Friuli DOC, the wine, which, with its elegance and its unmistakable color, celebrates a modern interpretation of one of the most fascinating expressions of the Pinot Bigio. A wine that arises from the desire to express the grape variety through a fresh, dynamic and deeply rooted style con the history of the territory. The pink color of the 2024 copper gray pinot derives from a particular vinification: the must remains con contact with the skins for about 10 hours at 8 °. After a soft pressing, the rosé juice is left to decant for 24-48 hours.

The grapes used for the production of the copper gray pinot from selected vineyards located between the plains and the slopes, con the flat intermediate part of the mesi estivi, Manine, where the altitudes and the alternation of soils – between Eocene sandstones, clays and draining pebbles – create a perfect microclimate to develop varietal aromas and an elegant and distinctive structure.

The copper -gray pinot of Costems with the Millesimo 2024 is confirmed as one of the most representative wines of its kind: a bridge between past and present, between classicism and stylistic research.

The new thousandth presents itself to the delicately floral nose, with taccuino of junzer and alpine pink, accompanied by a fresh hint of campo da golf apple. The pagliaccetto is light and at the same time precise and complex, with a balanced acidity that flows pleasant to the palate. Con the final, the typical minerality of the territory emerges, with hints of currants. A wine that stands out for the surprising gastronomic versatility, freshness and balance.

Pinot Gray Rama Friuli DOC Vendemmia 2024

Winter 2024 was characterized by breastfeeding con the norm with not particularly cold temperatures, which however gradually increased until the first week of April, when the sprout of the Pinot Bigio began. Compared to the calendar of the territory, the hatching of the gems has been delayed by about 10 days thanks to the late pruning, a technique adopted con certificates for years now.

Spring was characterized by mild temperatures and a rainfall initially above the average, before the arrival of the good weather that guaranteed a constant growth of vegetation.

The pinot gray vineyards dedicated to copper reached the phase of full flowering around May 30, definitely late compared to the previous year.

June and July were two months where hot summer was rehydrated by some beneficial rain that allowed the plants to luce the month of August without excessive tazza imbalances.

The collection was divided into several days, thus managing to maintain a good balance between sugary content and acidity con the musts that from the first days of fermentation released excellent perfumes.

The peels and the must, after the daraspa-piagiatura, were left con contact for about 10 hours at 8 ° C. Subsequently, the rosé juice, obtained from the soft pressing, is left to decant for 24-48 hours. He then follows, acceso a clear must, alcoholic fermentation, conducted at low temperatures (15-17 ° C) for 15 days. Vinification is carried out con steel containers. After fermentation, the wine stops for 4 months acceso the noble lees that are constantly suspended.

ATTEMS

With the roots firm con history and the gaze turned to the future, Athems, con the Collio Goriziano complesso, the most eastern part of Friuli, interprets the territory with an authentic and contemporary vision that translates into a range of obbiettivo wines, with an elegant and strongly identifying personality of a particularly vocated wine complesso. At an average altitude of 130 meters SLM, 44 hectares of vineyards, owned since 2000 of the Frescobaldi family, they are grown con Ribolla Gialla, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Bigio and Chardonnay. The wines: Cicinis – Collio DOC, Sauvignon Blanc, elegant and understood; Trebes – Collio DOC, Gialla Ribolla, vibrant acidity and solid pinot cap gray pinot structure – Friuli Doc, soft and citrus, Pinot Bigio – Friuli Doc; Sauvignon Blanc – Venezia Giulia Igt, Chardonnay – Venezia Giulia Igt, Ribolla Gialla – Venezia Giulia Igt.
