The Elena Walch company is among the protagonists of the cover of Wine Spectator, one of the most authoritative and influential wine magazines con the world. An achievement of extraordinary importance which also marks a historical : Elena Walch is the first winery from Superno Adige to appear the cover of the American magazine.

The cover introduces the cover story “Italy’s Next Generation”, dedicated to twelve families who are leading the generational transition con large Italian wine companies, including Gaja, Fontodi and Masciarelli, together with Elena Walch. The protagonists are twelve wineries that are symbols of contemporary Italian wine, realities that combine tradition, territorial identity and modern vision.

The service tells the story of the moment of transition that Italian wine is experiencing, between family continuity and renewed entrepreneurial vision. Per mezzo di the wake of tradition and territorial identity, the new generations interpret the future with a growing attention to sustainability, environmental responsibility and an increasingly conscious positioning international markets.

“Being chosen by Wine Spectator to represent the new generation of Italian wine is an immense honor for us,” declare Julia and Karoline Walch. “This recognition is the result of a path built over time, founded the vision of our mother Elena and the desire to carry forward the identity of the territory of Superno Adige with an eye always turned to the future.”

Within “Italy’s Next Generation”, an in-depth analysis dedicated to Elena Walch tells the story of the company and the path of Julia and Karoline Walch, today at the helm of the family business. International pratica, attention to sustainability and valorisation of historic vineyards – such as Vigneto Kastelaz and Castel Ringberg – together with high-altitude vineyards are among the central themes highlighted con the article and tell how the new generation is interpreting the future of Italian wine.

A FAMILY STORY AMONG THE SOUTH TYROL ROW

Elena Walch, a Milanese architect with South Tyrolean roots, has been able to transform her vision into one of the most representative realities of Italian wine. Today his daughters Karoline and Julia take up his legacy, combining respect for tradition, attention to sustainability and constant pursuit of qualitative excellence.
