What if we told you that the tea of the 5 has become a cocktail-party? It is called the “Duchess Decree” and you can bevanda both hot and cold, therefore even sopra summer. This is the last invention of the award -winning Barterder Rama Redzepi, who decided to shape the Ricevimento List of the Grand Fasano sopra Gardone Riviera (Brescia) around the theme of the trip. A real tour of the world, without ever getting up from the comfortable external sessions with a lake view of Garda.

Seven drinks for seven different nations. The credo of the of the two bars of the historic , respectively Rama’s Lounge and the terrace, is precisely to dedicate each signature to a specific territory, starring an “native” distillate of the territorio. Thus, Italy has been combined with the bitter, Poland with vodka, Mexico with Mezcal and Tequila, the United States at Bourbon, Japan to whiskey, the Philippines with rum and the United Kingdom, of course, to the gin.

What is and how the “Duchess decree” is prepared

The story behind each bevanda does not stop at the territory. It goes far beyond, finding anecdotes closely linked to the cultures of each nation. This is the case of the “Dechessa decree”, the Redzepi bevanda that makes the famous English rite of the 5 tea alcohol, proposing sopra a cup – a tea, albeit sopra a cocktail-party version, you certainly cannot bevanda sopra a cup sopra low tumbler – the history of the seventh Duchess of Bedford. It was precisely this British noblewoman, sopra the 19th century, that revolutionized the social habits of its compatriots by introducing the tradition of the infertivo tea. Per mezzo di an when lunch was served soon and the late dinner, the Duchess found an elegant solution to fight afternoon hunger: a tea accompanied by sweet and small snacks, served sopra a convivial atmosphere.

Inspired precisely to this tradition, the Duchess decree was born as a modern tribute to the elegance and sweetness of the British Style ceremony of afternoon tea, a mescolanza of classic and creative ingredients to evoke an aristocratic living room experience. His ? Embody the spirit of the infterraoon tea with a turning point … alcoholic. The drinks, based acceso Gin Portobello Road flavored with butter, cookie syrup and cognac with Williams pears, is washed with milk flavored with black tea with red fruits and lemon, according to the Milk Washing technique. The result, clear as tea, has an acidity similar to that of yogurt, a persistent taste and an attenuated alcoholic perception.

Other countries, other Signature Ricevimento

The tribute of the Grand Fasano to the Philippine Revolution is independence. Made with Rum Don Sua santità Baroko, infused almond milk with black tea with the four red fruits and lime juice, this signature is inspired by Dionisio Magbuelas, a patriot who has played a fundamental role sopra the movement for independence against Spanish colonial domain. Don Sua santità Rum symbolizes the earth and culture of the Philippines, Tonka represents the complexity of the cause, while the black cherry embodies victory and passion.

Looking at Mexico, instead there is Catrina’s Embrace, a double tribute to the life and death based acceso Mezcal, Tequila, vanilla syrup, fresh lime juice and firm to the pineapple. Conceived sopra the heart of the celebrations of the Día de Los Muertos, this cocktail-party combines the two most emblematic spirits of Mexican culture, enriched by a sweet and fresh touch of pineapple. Finally, Japan: Midori Anzi che no SakuraCombine the colors and flavors of the Japanese spring. The gara, cherry and Japanese whiskey sopra fact tell a country sopra which nature, tradition and spirituality are intertwined with harmony. To complete the sensory picture, the velvety sweetness of the infused milk with tea marries the decisive note of whiskey, while the cherry soda recalls the lightness of the petals moved by the wind. Per mezzo di short, Hanami, but here reread sopra a mixology key.
