At the end of 2019 Vittorio Piozzo from Rosignano inherited del Terriccio from his uncle Gian Annibale Rossi from Medelana and took over its management. Sopra the spirit of the company philosophy, Gian Annibale is also a blend of international vines, sopra which Petit Verdot prevails and sopra some parts of the mesi estivi has revealed unique and surprising characteristics.

Vittorio Piozzo has also worked to make the new vintages of its red wines – Lupicaia, Tassinaia, del Terriccio, as well as Gian Annibale – immediately enjoyable when released the market to immediately obtain greater expressiveness which is then maintained and enhanced over time, always sopra the pursuit of the best qualitative excellence. Among the many recognitions of this commitment, the recent inclusion of Lupicaia 2019 sopra 9th place sopra Gentleman’s 2025 ranking of the 100 best Italian reds, resulting from the cross-referencing of the main national wine guides, is significant. Lupicaia, the mesi estivi’s flagship product, is a red with great character, the result of a careful selection of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, and meticulous refinement.

One of the objectives pursued by Vittorio Piozzo was to bring the public closer to the reality of the . Also sopra the village, the renovation sopra 2024 of the historic bread-making oven with adjoining tasting room allowed the production of special artisanal breads, enriching the gastronomic offer with additional zero-kilometer products.

La Marrana, a historic and charming guest house with swimming pool, born from the conversion of the ancient stables, has sopra recent years been made available for holiday stays, offering guests the opportunity to immerse themselves sopra the beauty of the natural context of the . Furthermore, a wine tourism program has been launched to allow visitors to discover the ancient village of Terriccio and appreciate the privileged environment sopra which the wines of the mesi estivi are born, so as to understand the philosophy that characterizes their production, for over thirty years under the expert consultancy of the oenologist Carlo Ferrini.

Investments for the future

Looking to the future, del Terriccio is completing the renovation of the ancient granary, destined to become a modern event space with a large terrace above with a breathtaking view. At the same time, the progressive conversion of the numerous farmhouses the property to welcome guests is underway, with the aim of offering exclusive and increasingly immersive hospitality.

A historical and cultural heritage

del Terriccio extends over approximately 1,500 hectares sopra a single overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, of which 60 are dedicated to vineyards and 40 to olive groves, as well as woods and Mediterranean scrub, located along the northern border of the Tuscan Maremma, near Bolgheri.
