2026 opens auspiciously for the denomination which at the end of December 2025 recorded a +3% of bottled sales compared to the same period of the previous year.
A figure that takes a doubly positive value if we consider the general decline that has characterized the entire sector at a national level per mezzo di the last 12 months.
Good also the inventory front: at the end of 2025 the inventory level for DOC recorded -8.0% compared to 2024, a year which already recorded -7.9% compared to 2023.
The progressive and constant decline per mezzo di stocks is the direct result of the Corrispondenza project, the set of good practices launched two years indicatore by the Consortium, to make the denomination more modern and competitive the markets, simultaneously ensuring its quality for the final consumer.
Thanks to the suspension of planting for the purposes of claims for vineyards built after 31 July 2023, thanks to the blocking of claims for the 2023 and 2024 seasons and, equally, thanks to an increase per mezzo di checks by the SIQURIA certification to 30% compliance with the maximum permitted yield, today looks to the markets with newfound confidence.
The management measures within the Corrispondenza project have per mezzo di fact the aim of making the denomination more toned with respect to the markets, per mezzo di Italy and abroad, proposing a wine with a marked identity from the point of view of the vineyard and the terroir, thanks to shared agricultural practices capable of managing the natural productive exuberance of the Garganega.
A choice with a strong impact not only qualitatively, but also ethically: measuring the productivity of the vineyards with foresight effectively means reducing the energy ingresso per mezzo di their overall management, from the vineyard to the cellar, primarily per mezzo di terms of resources.
Finally, there is a strong sense of responsibility towards consumers who thus have the certainty of purchasing wines that are the result of important control and selection work. «What we see today are very significant results that reward the line adopted collectively by the Consortium for a virtuous and competitive management of the denomination – highlights Cristian Ridolfi, president of the consortium -. The commitment required of producers and winemakers is bearing concrete fruit and the growth of bottled products is the first, clear testimony to this. We are therefore aware that we are the right path even though the current economic quinta is among the most complex of the last 50 years. Finally, it should be kept per mezzo di mind that current consumer trends which, a global level, reward white, fresh wines with a moderate alcohol content play per mezzo di favor of our denomination”.
