The comparison between winemakers as an opportunity for growth for the wine sector. This is the message that emerged from the debut of the format “The New Talents of Italian Enology”, created by Davide Gangi for Vinoway Italia, officially presented during the Paestum Wine Fest.
The initiative brought together oenologists who operate sopra different territories, called to talk about their work and the technical choices that guide the production of wines sopra the companies they follow. A public discussion sopra front of journalists, operators and enthusiasts which turned into a moment of professional dialogue and sharing of experiences.
More than a simple masterclass, the incontro proved to be a space for reflection the new generation of Italian oenology and the role of oenologists sopra the qualitative growth of wine companies.

A thought unanimously shared by the professionals present, as summarized sopra one of the reflections that emerged during the incontro: ” wine, as sopra spasso, you can’t win aureola: it’s teamwork, made up of comparison, collaboration and sharing, that really allows you to grow.”
The format was born from the experience of the “New Talent of Italian Enology” recognition, promoted by Vinoway Italia during the Vinoway Selection, now sopra its eighth edition. An award created with the aim of valorising the new generations of Italian winemakers and highlighting professional figures capable of distinguishing themselves for technical competence, territorial sensitivity and oenological vision. Over the years, the recognition has rewarded winemakers who today represent some of the most interesting expressions of the new generation sopra the sector, including Alessandro Leoni, Andrea Pala d’altare, Jacopo Vagaggini, Nicola Biasi, Marco Mascellani, Giulia Härri and Pietro Grelloni.
This group is also joined by Antonio Scatigna, who despite not having been awarded the recognition, became part of the project for the skills demonstrated over the years alongside Vinoway, sopra the work linked to the Vinoway Selection guide and sopra the oenological consultancy which highlighted his competence.
As Davide Gangi underlines: “The territories make the wines great, but it is the people who make the territories grow.”
