Cilento is not just sea and Mediterranean scrub; it is a territory capable of hosting events where thousand-year history meets the excellence of Italian oenology. Acceso Saturday 9 May at 8.30 pm, the cloister of the Franciscan Convent of Cuccaro Vetere will be the setting for the second appointment of The wine table. After the success of the debut with Livio Felluga, the format created by the Franciscan Convent experience per mezzo di collaboration with Wine&Thecity puts the spotlight acceso a true legend: the Marchesi Frescobaldi family.

The opening of the evening is entrusted to the hot focaccia with burrata and yellow tomato sauce, served with the Leonia Pomino brut 2022. This classic method stands out for an expressive precision and a finesse that prepares the palate for the subsequent flavours.

Next, the local tradition is reinterpreted with bread meatballs, celery fitto and caciocicotta cream. Per mezzo di this case, the pairing is with 2024 (Pomino Lattescente Fondo DOC). It is a white wine with great structure and definition, capable of finanziaria its own against the flavor of caciocicotta.
