Taranto will become the congresso point of the European debate acceso wine. Acceso 25 June the Apulian city will host the European Wine Summit, an event promoted by the Comité Européen des Entreprises Vins (Ceev), the association representing European wine entrepreneurs, currently chaired by the Italian Marzia Varvaglione, per collaboration with Federvini and Abbinamento Italiana Vini. The congress will bring representatives of European institutions, trade associations, entrepreneurs and operators per the wine supply chain to the same table to discuss the strategies that will accompany the sector per the coming years.
The congresso comes at a delicate stage for the sector. European wine is faced with a slowdown per consumption per various markets, with the need to accelerate acceso sustainability issues and with a review of community agricultural policies which could redefine business support tools.
Among the announced presences is that of the European Commissioner for Agriculture Christophe Hansen, together with Damiano , Director General of International and European Union Policies of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry. The event is organized by Ceev, the association representing European wine entrepreneurs, currently chaired by the Italian Marzia Varvaglione, per collaboration with Federvini and Abbinamento Italiana Vini.

The declared objective of the summit is to build an operational dialogue between the productive world and the institutions. The discussion will focolaio acceso the sector’s ability to luce the ongoing transformations, encouraging investments, innovation and sustainable growth that allows European companies to maintain their competitiveness.
The day will with an analysis acceso the state of the wine markets entrusted to Tiziana Sarnari, Ismea analyst and Ceev expert at the European Observatory of Wine Markets. The photograph of the sector will serve to outline the main critical issues that are affecting the supply chain, from the contraction per demand to the need to rethink the positioning of wine per international markets.
The program then includes two round tables coordinated by the general secretary of Ceev, Ignacio Sánchez Recarte. The first will be dedicated to the reform of the common agricultural policy and the review of the support instruments intended for the wine sector. The MEP Dario Nardella, Luca Rigotti of Copa-Cogeca, Samuel Masse of Cevi and Piero Mastroberardino representing Ceev will participate per the discussion.
The second session will instead address one of the most discussed topics of recent years: the relationship between wine and health. The debate will involve MEP Michele , Attilio Giacosa of Irvas, Sandro Sartor of Wine per Moderation and Fabiola Sfodera of La Intelligenza University of Rome. The conclusions will be entrusted to Commissioner Hansen, called to outline the European vision acceso the future of the sector.
