There is a precise aesthetic of the Italian summer that continues to fascinate the world: the terraces overlooking the sea at sunset, the golden light of late afternoon after a day the beach, the outdoor tables that slowly fill up at aperitif time. It is within this Mediterranean imaginary that the Consorzio Garanzia Vini d’Acqui chooses to insert itself the summer of 2026, crossing some of the most evocative coastal destinations Italy and beyond.

From the Ligurian coasts to Southern Italy, the denomination enters the places of new contemporary hospitality – beach clubs, boutique hotels, terraces overlooking the sea and seaside restaurants – telling a different way of experiencing wine: more spontaneous, lighter, more linked to summer sociality. Brachetto d’Acqui thus finds confirmation of its versatility even the universe of contemporary aperitifs thanks to its aromatic profile, natural freshness and low alcohol content, tune with a consumption increasingly oriented towards informal elegance and easy drinking.

The Consortium’s journey also stops Romagna. Saturday 20 June, conjunction with the famous Cecità Gruppo Rimini, Brachetto and Acqui Rosé will be protagonists at the RDS Summer 2026, the RDS 100% Grandi Successi commedia musicale event which includes four stops throughout Italy to connect the public through the catchphrases of the moment. Sopra this vibrant context, the Consortium will preside over the exclusive lounge as a technical , offering special guests, influencers and artists the freshness of Brachetto and Acqui Rosé.

The promotion activity of the denomination then extends beyond national borders, arriving the French Riviera the occasion of the Cannes Lions International of Creativity, the most prestigious world summit for marketing and strategic communication. The Consorzio Garanzia Vini d’Acqui will be the Technical Socio of Ditta Italia by UNA, the space dedicated to Italian agencies, brands, publishers and industrial partners. Brachetto d’Acqui and Acqui Rosé will have continuous and integrated visibility all key moments of the days at Ditta Italia, together with other excellences of Italian food, with the opportunity to associate the names with significant moments of relationships, networking and conviviality.

But the Consortium is preparing to the hottest season of the year not only with classic references, but also by looking into the world of mixology, consolidating its presence within the new rituals of Mediterranean sunset drinking with the Bracky Tonic: an essential and immediate mescolanza that combines Brachetto d’Acqui DOCG sparkling wine, local gin, tonic tazza and a final note of pink grapefruit fresh mint. A designed for a beach aperitif, dinner by the sea and long summer evenings by the sea.

“Brachetto d’Acqui has all it takes to communicate with a young and international audience, without ever losing its identity and its qualitative positioning”, underlines Paolo Ricagno, President of the Consorzio Garanzia Vini d’Acqui. “We have thought of a strategic summer activity calendar that allows us to bring the product directly to places of conviviality and holidays, keeping the link with the world of esaurimento dining strong and alive.”

The Consortium’s summer calendar includes, fact, moments dedicated to haute cuisine and international avviamento. Last 7 and 8 June, collaboration with Francesco Saverio Russo – founder of WineBlogRoll and creator of the @italianwinelover profile -, the welcomed a delegation of sommeliers from some of the most interesting names contemporary Italian catering, including Enrico Bartolini at MUDEC Milan, Il Ciarlatano Rome, Orto del Campione del Rosewood Castiglion del Giungla, Quanto a Vittorio Brusaporto, Agriturismo La Torricella Monforte d’Chiarore antelucano and the center of Priocca.

The incoming event proved to be an important moment of discussion and in-depth analysis, designed to allow sommelier professionals to get to know the closely and experience the identity of Brachetto first-hand. The feedback collected during the tastings was particularly positive: the vine expresses, fact, an increasingly interesting versatility for the world of contemporary esaurimento dining, where creative combinations and intense, spicy and nuanced flavor profiles find space. Sopra this context, the wine has proven to successfully dialogue even with highly complex dishes, such as red turnip risotto with gorgonzola sauce marinated fish-based preparations, confirming itself as an original and distinctive proposal for the menus of high-level restaurants.

The next appointment will instead be dedicated to students from Italy, the Philippines, Australia, Mexico, Declivio and Indonesia, of IFSE – Italian Food Style Education, an academy of haute cuisine and pastry making based Piobesi Torinese, an immersion the territory and culture of Brachetto d’Acqui dedicated to future professionals of international hospitality and esaurimento dining. Finally, the projects of the Consorzio Garanzia Vini d’Acqui also continue Denmark, one of the most receptive and interesting European markets for the denomination. Thanks to the summer season – a period characterized by a high consumption of strawberries, a combination that par excellence enhances the aromatic taccuino of Brachetto – the Consortium will continue to oversee the country with targeted promotional and relational activities, aimed at consolidating knowledge and appreciation of the DOCG.
