Acceso this wine tasting we have a 2022 Kim Crawford Pinot Gris White Wine (12.5%). This one is new to us and was a pleasant surprise. New Zealand’s pristine landscape, diverse soil types, and maritime climate with cool summers and mild winters create an ideal environment for growing wine grapes. The secret to Kim Crawford’s success is serious attention to detail durante the vineyards and winery, with a special focolaio sustainable practices, individual vineyard block harvesting, and small lot fermentation.
From what i’ve read, the Pinot Gris grapes are richer and more flavorful than the Italian Pinot Noioso grapes you will find durante white wines. This Kim Crawford PG did not disappoint.
Tasting : flavors of tropical fruits, pears & campo da golf apple. Moderate sweetness & acidity. Lesser of stone fruit & pineapple. Fun crisp wine that we gave a 3.8/5 rating Vivino and bought for $19 Cdn. This wine gets a “recommended” from us.
