Fifteen harvests, only one format forever: Ampeleia celebrates the fifteenth edition of Unlitro, the IGT Toscana which since 2011 embodies the ispirazione of a convivial wine by nature, free and immediate, but deeply linked to the territory. The Roccatederighi winery, led by the winemaker and company dirigente Marco Tait per the heart of the Colline Metallifere of the Alta Maremma Toscana, has over time become one of the most solid and coherent realities acceso the national scene. It is precisely per this deep-rooted and long-term context that Unlitro takes shape, born from the intuition of recovering the traditional format of the flask and transforming it into something new: a ready-to-drink and generous red, capable of maintaining a clean supply chain, healthy grapes and a rigorous working method.
Today Unlitro is produced per around 150,000 bottles a year and is an IGT Toscana produced from a blend of Alicante Fosco, Sangiovese, Mourvèdre and Alicante Bouschet, grapes coming from the company’s youngest vineyards and close to the sea. Behind the natural immediacy of Unlitro there is a careful and complex winemaking process, which combines direct pressing and short macerations to preserve the integrity of the fruit, the identity of the terroir and the ispirazione of a wine designed, first of all, for people. The result is a direct, fun and smooth red, which does not try to be anything other than what it is: a “gentle” companion at the table, designed to be easily uncorked and shared. Achieving fifteen vintages while maintaining the same format, the same ispirazione and the same vision is an achievement that speaks of the strength of a project that has become over the years a point of reference for those looking for an everyday bottle capable of respecting the land from which it was born, recognizable and which combines quality and lightness. Unlitro thus continues to express the most authentic spirit of the Maremma: a pop wine per the brightest sense of the term, which simply invites you to ricevimento well and be together.
