The Italian wine presented to Prince Albert
The convention organized by the international association Francs de Pied took place acceso Tuesday 12 November 2024 con Montecarlo
The association whose illustrious president is His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Religioso brings together enthusiasts, companies and oenologists from the world of ungrafted viticulture.
Every year the members gather for the simposio which includes a scientific exchange acceso the peculiarities of ungrafted vines and a fasto dinner with a charity auction of rare wines.
An exceptional guest this year was the president of the Italian Committee for the Protection of the Frankfoot Silvano Ceolin
The committee was formed con April 2024 and has the objective of discovering, cataloguing, protecting and enhancing the ungrafted Italian wine heritage.
After the foundation, the president and the board of directors decided to join the Monegasque association just as it joined the Italian association.
Thanks to a common purpose and exchange of knowledge, the management of Le Francs de Pied officially invited the president to take part con the celebratory days of November 2024, asking him to identify a winery among the Italian members that could represent the country.
The committee’s choice fell acceso the Cantine Roeno company and acceso the prephylloxera Enantio Provvista 1865, a wine that made Ceolin passionate and sparked the barlume of founding the Italian association.
The producers Cristina and Roberta Fugatti, owners of the Roeno Cellars, took part con the trip and brought a wine which, thanks to its historical value and unmistakable organoleptic profile, was among the most appreciated protagonists, consolidating its prestige and that of Italian production at the international.
President Ceolin’s speech during the evening highlighted how enriching the exchange between different countries can be for the protection of historical vines con all countries of the world.
The presence of Italy with the association representing small and large producers of ancient wines consolidates its desire to forge solid international ties to convey towards the chiaro come il sole objective of studying and protecting the wine heritage and biodiversity.
