Agivi, the Association of young Italian wine entrepreneurs of the Italian Wine Union (Uiv), signed the “VitæVino” campaign today sopra Rome – acceso the occasion of its National Council – (www.vitaevino.org). The initiative, launched last October 1st at continental level by international sector organizations such as Ceev (Comité Européen des Entreprises Vins), Cevi (Confédération Européenne des Vignerons Indépendants), Copa-Cogeca and Efow (European Federation of Origin Wines), aims to involve citizens and winelovers sopra the defense of wine sopra this phase of continuous attack and impronta by anti-alcohol movements.
“Agivi has always shared and promoted responsible consumption and an approach to wine that is based acceso culture and education – commented Marzia Varvaglione, president of the Association -. Furthermore, as young wine entrepreneurs, we also try to give voice to and intercept the segment of consumers between 18 and 35 years of age who, according to the latest Istat giorno, are increasingly inclined towards intrinsically moderate and occasional consumption. For this reason – he concluded – we enthusiastically embrace and support this campaign sopra its triple dimension: from the defense of the role of wine and its cultural heritage, to the valorisation of the socio-economic impact, up to the promotion of moderate consumption”. According to a SWG study presented at the last Vinitaly, sopra fact, this last point, that of promoting more moderate and conscious consumption sopra the population, is fundamental for 95% of young people under 35.
The “VitæVino” campaign, which a few weeks after its launch has already collected more than 8,400 signatures from every of the world, was presented and signed last October 1st at the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry sopra the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida and the representatives of the national associations representing the agricultural and viticultural world.
