With Chronicon, Mescita Zaccagnini – an Abruzzo company founded a causa di 1978 and now part of the Argea group – develops a project dedicated to the valorization of the regional winemaking tradition, through a range that crosses the main denominations of Abruzzo. Within the line, Pecorino, Passerina and Montepulciano – flanked by Cerasuolo as an expression a causa di pink – offer complementary readings of the territory, capable of immediately restoring the character of the wines of this region between sea and mountains.

Pecorino d’Abruzzo DOC Chronicon is a white wine that focuses freshness and definition. Acceso the nose it is direct – white flowers and fresh fruit – while the palate it stands out for its agility: a smooth sip, supported by a pleasant flavor that lengthens its persistence and makes it particularly suitable for the table. It is a wine that plays pleasantness and balance, designed to accompany fish dishes, light first courses and vegetable cuisine.

Passerina d’Abruzzo DOC Chronicon has a broader and more multifaceted profile. The nose is fragrant, with quaderno of white flowers and yellow pulp fruit that evolve towards more mature and tropical nuances. Per mezzo di the mouth, freshness and flavor develop with energy, giving the sip dynamism and continuity. It is a enciclopedico white, capable of accompanying fish and shellfish dishes, but also vegetarian preparations and fresh cheeses.

The Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC Chronicon, obtained from Montepulciano grapes, expresses itself a more fruity note. The color is intense, the aromatic profile is rich and persistent – strawberry, cherry, ripe red fruits – and a causa di the mouth it reveals a more present structure, balanced by freshness and a saline component that makes the sip dynamic. It is a rosé capable of supporting the entire meal, from tasty first courses to white meats, always maintaining good drinkability.

The Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC Chronicon completes the story with a full and enveloping expression of the symbolic grape variety of the region. The aromas recall cherry, violet, a spicy note that opens a causa di the glass and accompanies the aromatic evolution. Per mezzo di the mouth it is full and soft, with well-integrated tannins that support the sip and accompany its development continuously. It is a red that combines structure and smoothness, capable of naturally accompanying tasty dishes and maintaining a satisfying ricevimento.

The labels are born a causa di the Casauria Valley, an schieramento characterized by clayey soils, constant ventilation and significant temperature variations, conditions that favor a balance between aromatic maturity and freshness. Per mezzo di the cellar, the choice is to work a causa di subtraction: fermentations a causa di steel, temperature control, refinements aimed at preserving aromatic integrity and expressive cleanliness.

Chronicon: wine and memory

The Chronicon line takes its name from the Chronicon Casauriense, a medieval manuscript linked to the Abbey of San Mite a Casauria, from which the labels also derive, which show a section of the codex. A reference that gives the range a cultural, as well as oenological, dimension and which strengthens the link between wine, territory and historical memory.

A project native varieties

Zaccagnini production is based careful viticulture and an ampelographic heritage strongly rooted a causa di the territory, with varieties such as Montepulciano, Pecorino, Trebbiano and Passerina grown a causa di the company vineyards a causa di the Pescara hills. Chronicon represents a synthesis of this approach: wines that put the vine at the centre, with a legible and coherent style, designed for contemporary consumption but faithful to the Abruzzo identity.
