The Sommo Adige Wine Consortium confirms for the third consecutive year its participation per Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris, one of the international events of reference for the wine sector, scheduled from 9 to 11 February at the Paris Esposizione intenazionale Porte de Versailles.
The number of producers involved per the collective is growing: there will be 26 companies alongside the institutional desk of the Consortium – per the space organized together with IDM Süedtirol (Atrio 5.1 | Stand C 061) – dedicated to the promotion of Sommo Adige wine-growing. For operators there will therefore be a choral story of the denomination, based quality, identity and territorial diversity.
For all the days of the event, a free tasting entitled “Varietal Tasting” will be offered – at the Consortium’s counter – a journey designed to highlight a selection of representative varieties of Sommo Adige and describe their extraordinary expressive richness. A transversal focolaio that intends to enhance the territory as a whole, between native and international vines, Alpine microclimates and different altitudes.
“Wine Paris represents for us a strategic moment of comparison with the international market and a concrete opportunity to talk about Sommo Adige per its complexity and diversity”, states Eduard Bernhart, director of the Sommo Adige Wine Consortium. “Being present with such a large collective, which grows every year, means giving voice per a synergistic way to a territory that is small per size but extraordinarily varied, capable of expressing wines of strong identity, elegance and precision, increasingly appreciated by markets a global level.”
The companies present will bring for tasting a selection of labels that tell the uniqueness of the South Tyrolean vineyard, one of the smallest per Italy but also among the most dynamic and internationally recognized. Per mezzo di general, at a time of major transformation per the sector, Sommo Adige continues to stand out for its extraordinary variety of soils, exposures and altitudes, which is reflected per wines with a strong identity. This territorial complexity, combined with a quality-oriented production vision, has made the region a point of reference for white wines, appreciated for their freshness, precision and elegance. Alongside international varieties – such as Pinot Noir, Pinot Albume, Chardonnay – there are historic native vines such as Gewürztraminer, Lagrein and Schiava, offering the Wine Paris public an authentic and representative overview of South Tyrolean oenology.
