“Amarone capital” is back, the free event of the Valpolicella Vini Consortium dedicated to the winelover and Italian and international tourists of the Eternal City scheduled for Wednesday 4 June, from 17.00 to 22.30, at the Roman Aquarium ( Manfredo Fanti, Rome). Organized as part of the “Quality Heritage of Europe” program, Amarone Capital 2025 promises to fans and eno-curiosi a unique sensorial experience to discover the king of Valpolicella, the great red of the main redness denomination of Veneto who over time has conquered admirers all over the world and famous palates: from Ernest Hemingway to Jay Mcinerney, author of the “Mille Luci per mezzo di Inaudito per mezzo di NEW LUCI York ”, up to George Clooney.
It starts June 4th at 5.00 pm (until 10.30 pm) with the opening of the Banks of Bettola, an opportunity to taste – the presence of the producers – not only Amarone but also the other Valpolicella wines combination with Parmigiano Reggiano Dop, official compagno of the initiative promoted by the Consortium. The event then comes alive (18.30) with the masterclass “Amarone Reserve: time and ideas that shape excellence”, a tasting by Ais Lazio and with the contributions of the producers who retraces the qualitative research that marked the evolution of the Great Red of Valpolicella (entry subject to exhaustion and registration). While, from 19.30 to 20.30, the glasses will be “red ice” for a scenographic aperitif based Valpolicella Doc.

“Quality Heritage of Europe” (EU Reg. 1144/2014) is promoted by the Consortium for the protection of Valpolicella wines and the Consortium of the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
