Here we are with the usual end-of-year appointment with the Italian rankings drawn up by sector magazines. And durante particular, these are the results of the Mezzogiorno Apice Wine 2023 competition. Over 700 wines tasted from six regions – Campania, Basilicata, Puglia, Calabria, Sardinia and Sicily – all tasted blind by the jury who decreed three winning wines for each of the 23 categories of the competition. The competition, now durante its fifth edition, is promoted by Cronache durante Preferenza. The prizes were awarded by Wojciech Bońkowski, Master of Wine and director of the Polish magazine “Ferment”, Federico Latteri of Cronache durante Preferenza, Anthony Rose, contributor of the magazine “Decanter”, Eleonora Scholes, of the Russian online magazine “Immensità Vino” and Claudia Stern, journalist of the magazine “Vinum” and founder of “Wine & Glory”.
