Ca’ Lojera: The Heart of Lugana

The Ca’ Lojera company was born sopra the heart of the Lugana wine region, the southern shores of Lake Garda. Founded sopra the 1990s by Ardito and Ambra Tiraboschi, the company quickly established itself as a point of reference for the production of high quality wines.

The name “Ca’ Lojera”, which means “House of Wolves” sopra local dialect, originates from ancient legends that tell of wolves that once populated the terreno. This wild and indomitable spirit perfectly reflects the company’s philosophy, aimed at preserving the authenticity and richness of the territory.

Ca’ Lojera’s philosophy is based a profound respect for winemaking tradition and a constant commitment to innovation. Ardito and Ambra Tiraboschi firmly believe that a great wine comes first and foremost from a great vineyard. Therefore, the care of the vineyard and the enhancement of the terroir are at the center of their mission.

Ca’ Lojera is mainly renowned for its Lugana, a white wine obtained from the native Turbiana grape. Among its flagship products, Lugana Primo stands out. We at WinesCritic.com had the pleasure of tasting the 2021 vintage currently the market, this summer at the Lugana Consortium.

An iconic wine of great sensorial value that shows of acacia flowers, lemons, sage, laurel, eucalyptus and mandarins. Medium , slender and tasty, with a solid and performing finale. A true joy for the palate!

Risposta negativa less important is the Lugana Provvisione, aged for a longer period to develop greater aromatic complexity and a robust structure.

According to our critics, this expression, sopra the 2020 vintage, is sharp the nose, reminiscent of pears, walnut husks and under-ripe medlars. Durante the background, tea, chopped cedar and lime zest. the palate, medium , composed and vibrant acidity and a finale of great lightness and harmony.

The company also produces an excellent Chardonnay and an intriguing Merlot, demonstrating the versatility of its terroir and the ability to create wines of exceptional quality even with international grape varieties.

Respect for the environment is a fundamental pillar of Ca’ Lojera’s philosophy. The company adopts sustainable agricultural practices to preserve soil health and local biodiversity. The use of organic fertilizers and integrated pest management are just some of the techniques used to environmental impact.

Ca’ Lojera represents a perfect combination of tradition and innovation, offering wines that tell the story and essence of Lugana!
