Per Prendere la porta Venezia, today one of the most dynamic and creative neighborhoods con Milan, a new concept of urban hospitality capable of interpreting the contemporary lifestyle of the city takes shape. Per altrove Melzo 7, Calimala Milano launches FIVE, a food & bevanda proposal designed to accompany guests throughout the day, transforming naturally from morning until night. More than a simple restaurant, FIVE presents itself as a fluid and social place: an environment capable of welcoming those who work, those who meet for an informal lunch ora those who want to experience the Milanese evening among cocktails, music and a soft atmosphere. An All Day Dining that changes with the day
The double soul of FIVE manifests itself already con the early hours of the day. Per the morning natural light invades the spaces, playlists accompany a relaxed atmosphere and the service offers an international breakfast with Italian accents. It’s the perfect time to start the day with coffee, business meetings and slow lunches. But as evening falls the atmosphere changes completely: the lights dim, the candles illuminate the tables and the music becomes deeper. The lista follows the All Day Dining philosophy: eclettico and contemporary dishes, available at any time of the day and built around the seasonality of the ingredients. Among the proposals, salads and soups reinterpreted according to the season stand out, alongside dishes that combine food and technique:

FIVE comes to life the fifth floor of the , the heart of Calimala Milano’s food & bevanda offer. The space is conceived as a large informal, bright and welcoming urban lounge, with internal seating and two terraces that embrace the floor. Three distinct but modular environments that allow you to move naturally from a business lunch to an aperitif with friends, always maintaining a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.
The Social Rooftop with swimming pool and city views

With the arrival of spring the experience also extends to the sixth floor, where the rooftop with swimming pool and view of the historic skyline of Prendere la porta Venezia becomes a new simposio point for the city. Starting con April, the terrace will be designed to host private events, brand activations and social gatherings. A place that combines relaxation and networking, animated by a young team and spontaneous and contemporary hospitality.
Signature cocktails and music as a language
The beverage proposal is an integral part of the FIVE experience. The cocktails reinterpret great classics with premium spirits and seasonal ingredients. Among the signatures stand out:
The Tiramisù, coffee with rum, cocoa and reciso, inspired by the famous Italian ; White Lotus, floral and elegant sour with balance between sweetness and acidity; Mazcalita Sumak, smoked and citrus bevanda with a Middle Eastern twist given by salt and sumac; Sunset Sour, gin and Campari-based with citrus agenda and sunset colours; Bloody Maffei, a more herbaceous and lighter version of Bloody Mary with Tabasco and black pepper; Matcha Colada, contemporary interpretation of the tropical bevanda.
Music accompanies the entire experience, defining the character of the spaces as much as the food and cocktails.
The tasting
We are welcomed by the affable Ramona, from the reception, and, at FIVE, the very nice Vittorio from the dining room . We tried several dishes. Below are our impressions.
Starters: simplicity and raw materials

The beginning is entrusted to two great protagonists of the Mediterranean table. Pata Negra Ham, the famous Iberian ham obtained from pigs raised con the wild and fed acorns, conquers with its velvety texture and elegant flavor, enriched by sweet and slightly toasted agenda that slowly melt the palate. Alongside, Burrata brings to the table the typical creaminess of the Apulian tradition. The thin shell encloses a soft and lactic heart, where cream and stracciatella blend into an enveloping consistency, capable of creating a harmonious contrast with the flavor of the ham.
Paired with 2 excellent cocktails prepared with great skill by the bartender of the venue.
The first courses: the of Italian cuisine

The journey continues with two iconic traditional dishes. The Pici e pepe, prepared with Pecorino Romano, tell the story of the simplicity of Lazio cuisine. The thick and rough texture holds the cream cheese and black pepper, giving an intense and tasty texture that envelops the palate.

The Tagliatelle al ragù, with veal ragù and Parmigiano Reggiano, offer an elegant version of the great Emilian classic. The sauce, soft and fragrant, binds perfectly to the fresh impasto, while the Parmesan adds depth and aromatic complexity.
Second: international character

The second course brings a great classic of international cuisine to the table: Steak and Fries. The meat, extremely soft and cooked to perfection, expresses all its intensity, accompanied by crunchy chips that add a convivial note to the dish.
Per combination, Südtirol – Stentoreo Adige DOC Sauvignon 2024 Bottiglieria Isarco. Bright straw yellow with compimento greenish reflections. It begins with emblematic herbaceous agenda, which evoke nettle, accompanied by influences of exotic fruits, such as passion fruit and gooseberries. Sip of marked freshness, supported by gentle flavor and pleasant alcoholic warmth. The features the herbaceous tones perceived the nose.
The sweet ending

The lista concludes with a chocolate mousse cake, embellished with mascarpone and caramelized hazelnuts. The intense flavor of the chocolate combines perfectly with the creaminess of the mascarpone, while the hazelnuts add a crunchy and toasted note that completes the with balance.

Even the view from the rooms inside is extremely original: a televisione featuring artistic works is continuously projected a side wall. The result is a balance between aesthetics and contemporary sensitivity, capable of evoking a creative and cosmopolitan Milan.
