Bettola Tramin was awarded the Award for the best wine cooperative quanto a the world quanto a the 2025 Co-OP competition organized by the German magazine Weinwirtschaft, a reference newspaper internationally for the wine sector. The prestigious recognition came following an intense selection by a panel of expert editors who blindly tasted the wines of 112 cooperatives from all over the world, from the entry level category to the Premium.
The award ceremony was held acceso June 25 quanto a Deidesheim (Germany), during which Vincent Meßmer, programma redattore of Weinwirtschaft, delivered the title to the president of Bettola Tramin Leo Tiefenthaler and the commercial director Wolfgang Klotz.
“Being considered the best wine cooperative worldwide is an honor that we share with every single socio – said Wolfgang Klotz -. It is the result of a collective work conducted with dedication and wisdom, which begins quanto a the vineyard, continues quanto a the cellar and translates into wines capable of telling the identity of our Alpine territory”.
The competition attested both the organizational excellence of Bettola Tramin and its solidity and productive quality: Epokale Gewürztraminer Spätse 2017, quanto a fact, was judged better wine ever with a score of 94/100. Recognition to which is added the title of best dry white quanto a Italy for Troy Chardonnay Reserve 2021.
Bettola Tramin is the third oldest Cooperative Cellar of South Tyrol. It was born quanto a 1898 by the will of Christian Schrott, parish priest of the country and then deputy to the Parliament of Vienna, quanto a order to relaunch and support the work of small local winemakers. Durante 1971 Bettola Tramin blend with the Social Cellar of Egna, thus expanding the number of members and territories of competence. Epokale Gewürztraminer, quanto a particular, is the first Italian white wine to obtain 100/100 points by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate with the 2009 debut vintage.
