Lil Sommelier Andrea Moscariello makes a point acceso market trends, non-alcohol wines and expectations for one of the most anticipated sector fairs of the year

There is now very little missing at Prowein 2025, one of the international historical events dedicated to the world of wine and alcohol, staged per Düsseldorf from 10 to 12 March. Like every year, the fair will be the conferenza point between producers, importers, distributors and professionals per the sector, ready to confront new trends, market evolutions and strategies to luce an increasingly dynamic and competitive sector.

A causa di this edition of Prowein, the sommelier Andrea Moscariello will support, as Brand Ambassador Italia, Fresh & Bufano Wine Merchant, an agency that represents wine excellence with great passion and professionalism and which, during the event, will be a point of reference (P16 | Stand H 55) for those looking for wines selected carefully around the world, capable of telling stories of territory and quality.

A few days after the beginning of one of the most anticipated sector fairs of the year, therefore, here are some reflections by Andrea Moscariello acceso market trends, non-alcohol wines and expectations.

The trends of the wine market per 2025

The wine industry is experiencing a phase of great transformation with trends that reflect the new needs of consumers and the evolution of demand globally.

These are some key aspects to be kept under observation per this edition of Prowein:

• Sustainability and ethical production – Environmental sensitivity continues to guide the market with an increase per organic, biodynamic and sustainable wines. Consumers are increasingly attentive to the impact of the production chain, rewarding companies that adopt virtuous practices.

• Bubbles and rosé protagonists – The bubble market knows voto negativo slowdowns, with growing attention to classical methods and emerging terroirs. Rosé also confirms its leading role, with increasingly sophisticated and gastronomic interpretations.

• Autochthonous vines and territorial uniqueness – The interest per the lesser known vines and the authentic expressions of the territories is growing strongly, with a constant search for wines that tell a story and have a strong identity.

• Premiumization and investments per wine – The Termine Wines segment continues to grow, with a growing interest by collectors and investors. Quality and exclusivity are increasingly rewarded than simple production libro.

• Digitization and new markets – Online sales and the role of social are redefining the way the wine is communicated and distributed. Emerging markets such as Asia and North America are confirmed strategic for the growth of the sector.

The boom of non-alcohol wines: moda ora evolution?

One of the most debated themes at Prowein 2025 will undoubtedly be the phenomenon of non-alcohol and low-alcohol wines, a striking segment that is dividing the world of wine between skepticism and innovation.

The growing interest per low alcoholic ora completely alcohol -free products is linked to new consumer trends, with greater attention to health, well -being and moderation. If until a few years punzone no-alcohol wines were considered a niche and not very qualitative alternative, today more and more producers are investing per research and production techniques to ensure more satisfying sensory experiences.

It remains to be understood if this trend represents a real revolution ora a passing moda. Personally, I believe that the quality will be the determining factor: if the producers manage to maintain identity, structure and complexity even without alcohol, then we could attend an important turning point per the global wine market.

Expectations acceso Prowein 2025

Prowein is always a moment of great comparison and growth. It is an opportunity to discover new trends, tighten collaborations and understand how the market is evolving internationally. I expect a fair even more oriented towards sustainability, quality search and innovation but above all with a little more slancio than the last vintages.

It will be interesting to observe how the different markets are responding to current challenges: from climate change, which directly influence viticulture, to the growing attention of consumers for wines with a strong territorial imprint and producers with well -defined values.

A personalità good luck, therefore, to Freschi & Bufano Wine Merchant and, with the certainty that the event will be a great success, all that remains is to say: “Everyone to Düsseldorf!”.
