Produzione Next, the group of under 40 producers from Assovini Sicilia, has won DoctorWine’s “Next Generation 2026” Award. A recognition that seeks to praise their commitment to carrying forward the values of associations and renewing the communication of the Sicilian wine world. The award, dedicated to “young people who make their way per mezzo di this world with ability, preparation, passion and tenacity,” was collected acceso Saturday 4 October per mezzo di Milan, at the Sovrano con Savoia, acceso the occasion of the presentation of DoctorWine’s 2026 Essential Guide.
Generation Next, made up of twenty-six members already operating per mezzo di their respective family businesses and per mezzo di sectors such as , marketing, wine tourism, production, administration, was born with the aim of enhancing the territory and Sicilian wine production, adopting a new and future-oriented language. The group, recently renewed with the election of Gabriella Favara as president, Enrica Spadafora as vice president, and a board of directors, focuses acceso key themes such as new forms of communication, the involvement of Generation Z, internal avviamento and the valorization of the territory.
The “Sapore DiVino 2025” Award, previously received by the group, had already been a strong signal of the value of the initiative, arriving per mezzo di a period of growing disaffection among young people towards the world of wine and underlining how Produzione Next stood out for a clear and shared vision, capable of bringing together new generations around fundamental values such as collaboration, innovation and responsibility. Doctor Wine’s new “Next Generation 2026” Award further consolidates this path, recognizing the group’s constant commitment.
“One of our objectives is to provide a clear key to understanding the relationship between new generations and wine: it is not young people who must be asked to change, it is the world of wine which must learn to better communicate its values of authenticity. It is up to us to build bridges: a more accessible language, engaging experiences and a coherent presence. We need communication capable of combining rigor and lightness, competence and immediacy, avoiding useless technicalities and favoring stories, flavors and combinations that speak the language of experience”, commented Gabriella Favara, president of Produzione Next.
