There are several reasons why Lake Garda is considered a unicum per Italy. First of all, he bathes three regions: Veneto, Lombardy and Trentino Aereo Adige. Despite being per the north, this freshwater basin is renowned to be surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation: from the cultivation of lemons (have you ever tasted the Limetta del Garda?) To the PDO of extra virgin olive oil. Sopra addition, the Venetian and Lombard of Garda bank there are five wine consortia: Bardolino, Custoza, Garda, Lugana and Valtènesi. The latest novelty of this territory concerns the world of wine: for the first time, all these wine realities quanto together under one identity: Lake Garda Wines.

This ambitious project was born with the aim of enhancing and promoting internationally the wine excellence of an extraordinary territory, characterized by a unique microclimate and a secular wine tradition. The official debut of Lake Garda Wines will take place the occasion of Vinexpo – Wine Paris 2025, from 10 to 12 February. An international stage where the five consortia will present individual denominations through a selection of representative labels and the participation of about thirty manufacturers.

A project that enhances the territory

“Working together with the other consortia means strengthening the visibility of our wines and building a common message that makes our climatic vocation a model of quality recognizable globally”, underlines Fabio dei Micheli, president of the Bardolino Consortium Doc. Roberta Bricolo, president Of the Consorzio Protection Wine Custoza Doc, highlights the strategic value of this alliance: «Five consortia are combined to the challenges of the global market with determination and cohesion. This synergy optimizes resources and increases the international recognition of our territory ». Paolo Fiorini, president of the Garda Doc Consortium, also confirms the value of this union: “Lake Garda Wines represents an opportunity to strengthen our presence foreign markets, per particular the French one. We not only promote wine, but also the cultural and landscape heritage of Lake Garda »Fabio Zenato, president of the Lugana Doc Consortium, emphasizes the importance of telling the history of Lake Garda:” With this project we aim to consolidate The wine identity of each denomination and transmit a collective vision based sustainability, innovation and commitment for the future of wine ». Finally, Paolo Pasini, president of the Valtènesi Consortium, reiterates the indissoluble link between the territory and wine production: “Joining between consortia and denominations is the best way to tell the world the beauty of our territory and the quality of our wines. Lake Garda Wines is the symbol of this union “

A strong identity to the challenges of the future

The creation of Lake Garda Wines represents a step forward for the wine promotion of the Garda zona. An initiative that allows you to the challenges of the global market with greater incisiveness and to amplify the visibility of wines, while maintaining the specificity of each individual name.

The wines of Lake Garda are distinguished by their variety and quality: from the Chiaretto a fine di Bardolino, symbol of the Italian rosé tradition, to elegant white and long -lived custoza doc; From the fresh and innovative sparkling wines of Doc Garda, to the refined and minerals Lugana Doc. Without forgetting the structured rosés and reds of the Valtènesi, which express the authentic soul of the Brescia Riviera. The appointment with Lake Garda Wines a Wine Paris 2025 therefore marks the beginning of a new for the wines of Garda, ready to conquer the international market with a strong and recognizable common identity.
